My husband and I have been going to Capitol Family Eye Clinic for several years now. Every year, Dr. Xiong treats my husband and I with so much kindness. Sometimes I am surprised, having so many other patients come in and out, that she remembers us during our yearly exams. I feel so comfortable, it’s as if I am meeting up with a friend. My exams are pretty quick, straight to the point and easy to understand.

Staff meet you at the door and only open the door a few inches so they can stick there head out to talk to you and send you away if you don’t have a mask. I don’t have a problem wearing a mask but If your going to continue requiring masks the least you could do is have some extra masks or sell masks for your clients that forget to bring one. I paid over 200$ out of pocket for a pair of glasses the least you could do is not turn me away for something so simple as forgetting a mask. Your doctor surpassed my expectations she truly knows what she is doing but you have lost a client! 3 bad experiences is more than enough for me!

Honestly, this is one place where the Doctor is great but her staff has to be replaced. I have requested for information and was denied my own information. Here's the story...so I called to ask for a specific piece of information I needed to get a pair of glasses online. The person who picked up the phone told me they do not release that information...great....how the hell am I suppose to get glasses? I did have my prescription however i needed to get a specific number that was not on the prescription!!!!! I even told you what it was but apparently you aren't educated enough which is why you work there in the first place. You are quick to ask for money upfront but I can't get my own information so I that I may get glasses elsewhere. It's disappointing that Dr. Cecelia Xiong is such a sweetheart but her staff has no sense of professionalism. I bet you they will find an excuse to reply to me if they ever see this. Though I like the Doctor, I would not recommend this place and I have always told everyone such as family and colleagues to avoid this place at all cost. Until Dr. Xiong hires true professionals it would be better to go to Walmart instead. It's sad because I'm trying to support my own Hmong community but that means nothing in this new age. Please please Dr. Xiong, educate you staff or hire new employees.

Dr. Susan Quick and her whole team are the best! I recently had cataract surgery and I'm early on in the healing process. She is thorough, patient, informative, and addresses any questions or concerns. Wonderful bedside manner!

Dr Uttley is the best! He has been my eye Dr. for 30 years. I have an epithelial condition that he was able to get under control, and has been stable for the last 28 years. I appreciate, and am thankful for his surgical skills and professional friendship.

Do not buy glasses here!!! They will help you very quickly but when it is time to pick up your glasses that help goes out the window. I waited for over an hour to get my new glasses fitted. After checking in I was told to wait while multiple people came in and walked up to get service. The woman working the front desk of the eye glasses shop was clearly overwhelmed. After an hour I went back up and was helped (not before subtlety being told it was my fault I wasn’t seen earlier). Glasses felt fine after the fitting but I was in a hurry to leave. Once I looked in the mirror I saw my eyebrows were stuck up against the glasses. They couldn’t even get them to fit correctly. Now I have to go back and wait who knows how long to get them adjusted. Don’t buy glasses here! They overcharge and are not helpful!!

Overall I had a positive experience at the Broecker Eye clinic. My eye exam was thorough and I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I am docking a star because the experience was a little bit awkward. Dr. Broecker came into the exam room and didn’t introduce herself so the first 10 min of the exam I was like “who is this?”. When I asked if she was Dr. Broecker she corrected my pronunciation of her name, which could’ve been avoided if she introduced herself. The glasses selection was a bit limited but it’s hard to beat the internet’s selection these days. The location is convenient and off the green line and close to the U of M. Even though the visit was a bit awkward I would come back.

Great overall experience. My old insurance only had target and america's best as providers and this was a night and day experience. Dr. Broecker was very thorough and engaged and truly made my eyes feel well cared for!

There are only five stars but I give them a TEN STAR if possible! Best eye doctor I have ever been to! Dr. Broecker is caring, thorough, consultative and is so knowledgeable. She helped me when I had an eye issue and recommended some great surgeons. After the surgery, she followed up to ensure that everything went well and got me in for a follow-up/after surgery visit. BEST EYE DOCTOR EVER! The staff at Broecker Eye & Optical are so friendly and accommodating. They are never pushy when it comes to selling, but will recommend what is best for you even if you don't buy it from them. Scheduling an appointment is really easy and the office is open after work hours which helps so I don't have to take time off work to come in.

Would give zero if I could. The owner dr Parrot would not go through with my eye exam after I began the process because he claimed that he was too distracted and uncomfortable by my covered chest area. Literally disgusting. The woman working behaved beyond disgustingly asking me to cover up my body and telling me that it was a doctors office so my body can’t be showing.

Omg the customer service is amazing, they pull you right in and help with whatever your requesting they are not afraid to speak with the customer that's in front of them..the wait wasn't long about time you breezing for glasses your next to see doctor..my glasses arrived less than a week and I am so excited to bring the new year with new glasses...this place is awesome
