I have been going to this office for over 20 years. I started going when It was across the street form the current location. First I saw Dr. Carl now I see Joey. Love them both!

1st Visit: Eye exam, picked frames and ordered glasses, given samples of toric contacts and regular contacts- instructed to call in a week to tell them which to order. I called in a week and ordered the toric lenses. 2nd Visit: Pick up glasses and contacts. Tried on glasses- vision was very blurry. I was told that is normal since the prescription he gave me was weaker than my existing glasses. I was told to give it a few days and my eyes would adjust. Got home and realized they had given me regular contacts instead of toric contacts. Called and had them reorder so I could exchange. 3rd Visit: Exchanged toric lenses and asked them to check the glasses because they were still off after trying to let my eyes "adjust". They say they checked them on the machine and that the correct lenses were in. The doctor rechecked my eyes and said my vision is "fluctuating" and that I should continue trying the new glasses. 4th Visit: Brought glasses back again and they checked on the machine again and said, "Oh yeah, the axis is 90 degrees off". They sent them off to be corrected. 5th Visit: Picked up glasses again. I still cannot wear these glasses because they are too blurry. My former glasses that I've been wearing for 3 years give me crystal clear vision. I spent $200 on a new pair of glasses that I can't wear. I do not recommend The Vision Center.

I've been a patient of Dr. Ann Shaw's for over 7 years. I have very difficult eyes to fit for contacts. Dr. Shaw gets my vision just perfect every.single.time I see her. She is patient, kind, and her "bedside manner" is exceptional. She doesn't rush. She remembers me and my eye issues.....there are a few. I have never been in to see her where I am not there for quite a while because she spends so much time with me to fit me for contacts, get my RX just right, etc. Stacy is just as exceptional. Everyone is kind, helpful and patient. Highly recommend Southern Eye Center and Dr. Ann. Fresh contacts in and fresh glasses on the way and I could not be happier. Exceptional care!!

I've been here a few times. Actual doctor visits were fine, but bad experiences with the staff that I should have expected after reading reviews. Once I was waiting for my appointment and the receptionist would complain every time the phone rang and she had to answer it. Today I called to ask a question about my upcoming appointment and they immediately put me on hold. I waited 15 minutes before hanging up and calling back. Ended up cancelling my next appointment.

Went here with my husband last week. Multiple issues, when we arrived and walked in the door no one greeted us at all. The office is dry, everyone’ look as they do t want to be there. One of the front desk girl with the tattoo was on her phone. We was not greeted. The office lack friendliness it makes you don’t want to return. Dr. Shaw attitude needs a adjustment because it’s horrible. Her attitude is belittling and I’m not sure if it’s because of her profession. She needs to realize she’s human and stop with the insulting faces and remarks. I’m not sure why she’s still there, after all the reviews she should be gone by now. I am a physician myself & I love to smile and be welcoming to my patients!!! Please don’t go this office it’s not friendly at all. the office is a cemetery DEAD! Not much diversity in the office as well. I love to walk in a office and see more than one skin color. It’s time for some change & some new faces & new management.

Our experience was exceptional! The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful, not just to us, but to everyone who walked in! The exam was prompt and we were in and out, including ordering glasses in less than an hour. I cannot recommend them enough!

I went to see if I could get new frames under the warranty I purchased when I bought my glasses. The first person I talked to had no idea what I was talking about. She kept telling me my insureance does not cover glasses. She said to have a seat and someone else would try to help me. The second person knew exactly what I was talking about. I told her the screw had been replaced twice. She looked at the frame and said the warranty did cover new frames and ordered them for me.

This eye clinic is exceptional! The doctors and employees are very kind, extremely knowledgeable and professional They go out of their way to help their patients They also have a large variety of beautiful, unique and trendy frames. Overall, Shenandoah Eye Clinic is wonderful! Whether you're looking for frames or an eye doctor, this is definitely the place to go. You won't be disappointed!

The people at the front desk were very nice and welcoming. The place was also clean as well. The only problem I ran into is I felt like the lady who exam my daughter (the assistant) was rushing her. Other then this I feel like it was a pleasant experience.

I hand been seeing Dr. Peavy for at least 25 years, and he is wonderful and very kind. I fitted my daughter with contacts and even talked to us in the middle of the night when she thought the contact lens was stuck in her eye (It wasn’t!) He then did the surgery on her to permanently correct her nearsightedness and my cataract surgery. He is just a wonderful doctor.

Today was my second visit here , I made sure to return a year later because the first visit was pleasant . The staff provided excellent service . I was squeezed in for an emergency same-day appointment , I was prescribed medicine for my eye. Very great atmosphere and friendly staff . 5 STARS.!
