Dr. Jancevski is a very knowledgeable and professional eye doctor. It's always a pleasure seeing her as well as the other doctors at Oakland Opthalmic Surgery.

Attended appointment with a friend in her 70's who was the patient. The dr was friendly on the surface but did not answer questions or concerns with substance or education about my friend's condition. She instructed her on 4 medication changes but did not provide the information in written form. There was no after visit summary provided. When paying with a credit card we were given printed forms which I assumed contained a list of medicines and a receipt for the charge. Instead it was a list of 4 or 5 previous charges and no information about the current charge and no receipt. I'm assuming the Dr is quite knowledgeable about her field and she does smile, but no focus on education, improving health literacy, or engaging the patient. Never asked if we had any questions. Wait time to see physician was about 45 min.

THIS IS THE PLACE! Jackie was attentive to the max - offered to fix and clean up all our glasses (like 10 pairs) and made us feel like movie stars. They’re turnaround for glasses replacement is the fastest in town. This is the only glasses shop in Detroit - head in and you won’t regret it.

I just had to leave a review and thank the staff for their help. I sauntered in on Saturday after visiting two other opticians in the area to see if they could replace the nose pad for my THEO glasses. With each visit, I was asked to go somewhere else for help. These glasses are kind of specialized and unique. SHADES Optical happens to be a carrier of this particular brand and lucky for me, they diagnosed the issue before I even I took them off my face. The problem? A smooshed and unfortunately bent pair of glasses, no longer shaped to fit my face. To my complete shock, I had forgotten what they were supposed to feel like when properly fitted and simply went weeks (months?) wearing them at like 50% of the efficiency they should have possessed. The staff graciously (and helpfully!) took them off my face, replaced the missing pad, re-shaped and bent everything back into place, tightened the arms and polished them off in record time. Within 10 minutes, I was back in business — they once again fit amazingly and I felt a bit silly that I had gone on wearing them half crooked and falling off my nose. I wasn't even aware of my own pain, hah. The cost? No charge, just a desire to help another mildly-obsessed optical-person feel good again. We then chatted for a couple of minutes about a few other unique lines I had been looking for (which they carried!). While there, another customer walked in and dropped praise (a great sign) for SHADES. I promised them that I would be back to buy my next pair — with service this great, why not? I just wanted to share for anyone considering LASIK eye surgery it has been the best decision I have ever made! I have perfect vision. No more glasses or contacts to deal with! The procedure was extremely easy and the recovery was even easier! I was walked through every step before and during and knew exactly what was going to happen, what sound it was going to make and how long it would last. It was quick and painless and Dr. Fitzgerald and the staff did such an amazing job! I was even back to work the next morning. I'm looking forward to being able to swim, workout, and enjoy life without having to deal with annoying glasses or drying up contacts!! Thanks Dr. Fitzgerald !!

Excellent outcome cataract surgery

Very impressed with the whole office experience. The staff is very considerate, each staff member asked me if they should wear a mask. The exam took me into different rooms but the wait time was minimal. I received answers to all the questions that I asked each techand Dr Page gave me a full update.

Incredible experience from the front desk to check out. I was in and out within an hour including dilation. The front desk receptionist, ophthalmic technician, provider, and scribe were amazing and so kind. They know how to make patients comfortable. Dr Page was well-mannered and thorough. I could tell he was a master at his job!
