I've been working with El Segundo Eye Care for years now. First with glasses then with contact lenses. The team was extremely patient in helping me dial in my eye care needs. I'm a designer who has worked in the South Bay for 30 years and my eyes are EVERYTHING to me. Being able to work with ESEC and fine tune my vision was crucial.
I wasn't the standard case when I came in every 6 month...I was in there multiple times to work thru the issues I had. The team was patient, understanding and very accommodating to my needs and worked to solved the issues I was having.
I've finally found a level of clarity that helps me do my job to the best of my abilities. Thanks to ESEC for the continued support and professionalism that I truly needed.

Very extremely outdated medical equipment. None of the nurses of medical staff including the doctor knew how to conduct or operate it. When I went, the doctor said he'd do an eye pressure test for my existing glaucoma. None of them knew how to do it. He then said they'll try it on another machine. I waited for about 20 minutes just for him to say they'll keep using the same one. Then they wanted to conduct the test anyways despite none of them knowing how to operate it. I've taken eye pressure tests countless times as I've had glaucoma for almost 5 years. Please save yourself time & money and go anywhere else.

Three women in the front desk. These staffs are unfriendly and refused assist patients. SIMPLY NASTY people. I called 1:44 pm & wanted to make an urgent appointment. Staff named Helen told me I needed to get a referral from my primary doctor first. Otherwise, she would not even talk to me. For my primary doctor's help, I've got an urgent referral. It was 2:20 pm. Then, Helen told me her clinic close at 3 pm & fully booked, so she would not give me urgent appointment today. She should notify me her clinic close at 3 pm when I called her at 1:44pm. Then, I would not pursue getting urgent referral nor try to make an appointment with her. I would get referral to see other ophthalmology in my area. She wasted my valuable time. Helen knew she would not give me an urgent appointment even though I've had referral from my primary doctor. I confronted her, then, she asked me to either admit it to an urgent care or seek help from my primary doctor. I've been urgent care before, it is not for the place for eye patience. No sympathy for sick patience. Bad staffs to deal with. ZERO STAR office.

I have three boys one who is deaf he has gone to the eye dr for the past four years. No results we either get denied services or he is rushed past by the appointment.
Dr had patience with my son dedication and cared I am truly grateful and appreciated I have no words to describe how grateful I am not only to the dr but staff to finally one have answer for my son but to feel welcomed and accepted thank you

My family and I had been coming hear for many years. Dr. Fernando had been taking care of us---she is representative of what a caring healthcare professional should be. For her, she gets 5 stars.
Unfortunately, we were switched over to Mallari [SIC?]. After seeing her for a few times, we will not be coming back. If you like your optometrist providing an expensive exam you did not request (and then charging you for it), or not being clear with the services being provided, or if you enjoy getting treated like cattle, or if desire being looked down upon because of your lack of eyecare knowledge, Mallari is your gal.
Too bad.

I have been going there for over 20 years, and prior to that, my grandma and uncles have gone too. They have stellar customer service, the doctors and staff are always courteous and never try to get money off of you than they need to. They will listen and advise on what your best options are should you find yourself in a financial bind. I love going here even if I live farther now.

Always a great experience! Everyone, from the staff to doctors, are always welcoming & friendly. We’ve been patients here for a few years now and despite our large tribe of kids, Dr. Mallari-Bolado always takes her time being thorough. This is probably the only doctor’s office the kids love going to. We highly recommend Cerritos 2020 Optometry.

My wife has been seeing Dr Pitluk for 36 years (2nd grade). Although we now live an hour plus away she still travels for the excellent care and service he provides. Thank you.
