I wanted to wait at least a month before writing this review. First making the appointment was extremely easy. The receptionist was super nice and informative. Every time I would call they always spoke with a friendly voice. I probably went there 3 times for exams before the surgery. The office is always busy, but in general they make you feel welcomed. Fefa (I hope I’m writing her nickname correctly) is the person that did most of my pre and post exams. I like that she’s direct and to the point, I also want to mention that she’s extremely knowledgeable. Regarding the rest of the staff, I like everyone I interacted with. Now, the most important part is the Doctor. Dr. Belalcazar is super super nice and informative. The doctor likes to take as much time as possible with each patient. He is very knowledgeable and loves his job. He likes to explain everything about the surgery and procedure from start to finish with extreme detail. I felt safe in his hands. He also has one of the latest laser machines, which is super impressive! The surgery took about 30 seconds per eye. The whole time the doctor was very soothing, and would talk to me to make me feel safe. The surgery doesn’t hurt at all. There is some discomfort after the surgery is done, but then you just go take a nap to feel better. The next day when I woke up, I could see perfectly. It is truly amazing what the doctor and his staff do here. It is a gift to be able to see. Every day I am impressed by my eyesight. You do have to be responsible and use all the drops they prescribe and use sunglasses! Also make sure to go to all the postoperative follow ups and use the sleeping goggles they provide (they are super comfortable). Also, they did mention that sometimes your vision would get blurry at random times but this goes away. It’s been a couple of weeks since my surgery and my vision is perfect. I do not suffer from dry eyes, but the first two weeks my eyes were always dry, but that went away as well. When you feel your eyes are dry you just use the drops and the discomfort goes away. Regarding the cost. I truly believe the cost of the surgery is fair. They also offer payment options if you can’t pay out of pocket. I used my credit card to pay. Thank you Dr. Belalcazar and Staff! I’m extremely happy with the results.

After I got monovision surgery, my long vision never was good. I was told multiple times by the doctor I have to wait maybe 6 months to let the brain to adapt to the new mode of vision. I waited more than a year with at least three or four visits. On my last visit Monday 28, finally I was told by the doctor I need to use glasses for the rest of my life for driving due to a small astigmatism still present. He told me, if he touches the eye again, maybe I will lose vision. I spent $307 on the glasses the same day but I was not really convinced because the main reason I got surgery was to get rid of the glasses. On Wednesday same week I visited another center, and the doctor told me that my problem had solution and the previous diagnosis from Belalcazar was not correct and what I was still pending was myopia. I was asked if I want to get surgery on Friday, I accepted. I got the new surgery Friday 1st and Saturday I returned to the clinic to remove a soft lens placed in my eye to protect the surgery. Immediately I started seen clear, 20/20. I'm not disappointed for the $300 spent in vain or the cost for the new surgery, I'm really upset about I was recommended to use glasses for the rest of my life and the year I lost having a lot of problems to see the long distance. Really disgraceful. The only plus is the personnel who works for him who are really kind.

I made an appointment back in September and provided my insurance information on the call. They scheduled me for November 7th. Then on November 6th they called me to ask my insurance information again and then said they didn't take my insurance and it would be a $125 payment. I was very disappointed and thought it was extremely unprofessional. I waited nearly 2 months for this appointment!
