Both my husband and I had new lens placed a few years ago and could not be happier. I recently had to go back for a quick YAG touch up on my left eye, for scar tissue. Love Dr Patel. No biggie as I had it done on my right eye a while back. Paid cash. This time it was being filed on my insurance as my yearly deductible was met, I expressed this and they asked the insurance person to step in and visit with me. *Although scheduled I did not get it done that day. I’m going to do my best to be nice, the insurance person (she was far from a lady) was rude to say the lest. She was put out that she had to talk to me, then would not even attempt to explain it to me… (all unbeknownst to her I just happen to work in medical insurance claims so no explanation needed but I felt like she should have told me something) When I left, doctor was going to note it in my chart, so it could be filed on insurance, and she was going to she was going to “check” my insurance and call me back to schedule another YAK appointment. I paid cash for that appointment and left. Well “surprise” she didn’t call me back. So I called them a few weeks later, and made the YAK appointment. When I got there, surprise surprise they acted like they had never seen me before~ I explained that I was filing the YAK appointment on my insurance that we had discussed in length during my prior visit, that Dr. Patel noted it in my chart so it would be covered on insurance… the insurance person acted like she did not know what I was talking about… I was livid and almost didn’t get my YAK procedure done~ so very frustrating if my deductible is met is approved on insurance. Why is it such a big deal? This insurance person needs to go! Because of HER I won’t recommend THIS OFFICE to anyone. I was even set to do a cosmetic procedure with Dr Belardo but because of her I won’t be back. Sad because everyone else was great. One bad apple does ruin the whole batch. STAY AWAY.

The service was professional, but not very friendly, with the exception of the lady that I spent the most time with in the back of the office. Five stars on the cleanliness of the office. However, the atmosphere seems they don’t often have people of color walk through the doors. I’ve been here before, nine years ago, but it’s a whole different place. They did sell glasses but no longer, I was disappointed in that because I assumed I would be leaving with new glasses, but only a prescription.

Dr Goodman is very professional. He and his staff are informative and polite. Answered all my questions. My surgery was a great success. I highly recommend them when you are in need if eye care.
