Athens location are very unprofessional staff, do not expect them to help in any way. I’ve received my glasses in less than a week so that was good but they were terrible. I wear progressive and was told that numbers are normal in the lenses but the numbers were very visible. I could see the numbers while wearing the glasses and people could see the numbers when standing away from me. I have been wearing progressive and I’ve never had this problem until I went to American Best. Anyway, after insurance and paying almost $300 for my glasses that’s what I got… cheap glasses and terrible services. The lady upfront went and got the Manager to help but he came to the front and never even tried to talk to me regarding the problem. What a great Manager and team leader. Do not recommend!

My daughter and I came in for eye exams and to pick out new glasses. Unfortunately, we had to also bring along my two year old who has no patience for sitting still. This made the visit challenging. Anitra and Alexcia were so incredibly kind, gracious and patient with her, helping keep her occupied so my other daughter and I could get things taken care of. We’ve been using America’s Best for years and I’ve been to this location multiple times but this office has me as a customer for life because of these two women. Everyone there has always been super helpful and friendly but Anitra and Alexcia went above and beyond and absolutely deserve to be recognized for their incredible customer service.

I wanted to shop around for more affordable eye care since I don’t have eye insurance but wear glasses and contacts. This company boasts a lot of different discounts and they’re able to do this because they use remote eye doctors and see their patients through a camera. That way of doing an eye exam was interesting and if it saves me money, I’m here for it. The bad experience came when I got my bill. I had called to ask about their $79 for 2 pairs of glasses deal with a free eye exam prior to making my appointment. I told them when I made my appointment I wear glasses and contacts. When I got charged after my exam, I was told the glasses deal doesn’t come with a contact lens exam, only a glasses exam. So the only way they would issue my contact prescription to me is if I paid $99 for the exam and there were no discounts on glasses. The exam cost at my previous eye doctor who saw me in person and gave me a few trial pairs of contacts was $99. So, I attempted to shop around for cheaper vision care and ended up paying the same for a hybrid virtual visit with a doctor over a screen. When I brought all this up to the glasses assistant he just said the people on the phone probably misunderstood my question. He did not care that was there for a glasses deal but also wear contacts.
