My appointment was for 1:55p and they canceled it at 2:00p because I was 5min late due to an accident slowing up traffic. The manager was very unprofessional and didn't even try to help. I will definitely speak with my insurance carrier about not renewing their contract.

Pretty terrible. The optometrist accused me of lying, and I'm pretty sure I didn't even get the glasses I ordered. Prescription wasn't right for starters. A little better than my past one, but not by much. Additionally, I asked for hardened lenses (which are already scratched after a few months), anti glare coating (which seems to never have found its way on the glasses), and transitions (which has actually worked pretty well). I'm pretty disappointed, over $700 with insurance. I'll probably get my free replacement pair and move on. Go somewhere else. Pretty sure Walmart is better after all this.

Terrible scheduling today… wasted a whole hour just sitting there. As a new patient paying out of pocket, I will not be back to this location.

We received good service. When I called to make the appointment, Karen took care of me. She was very kind and left a positive impression with me. Her kindness continued the day of our appointment and the rest of the staff were equally as impressive and professional. I appreciate the service because these day, good help is hard to find. Have a happy new year guys!

Ok so I call America's Best and ask some questions based on pricing. Based on the answers I got, I make an appointment. When I'm done with my appointment I learn that the pricing quoted to me was incorrect. One staff member said that the …

Negative 1. I booked my eye exam online almost two weeks in advance, only to show up and discover there was no in-person doctor available — just a “remote” doctor who apparently wasn’t even checking their screen. I figured a person would STILL DO THEIR JOB remote or not remote. I ended up not being seen at all after waiting over a whole hour. I scheduled my appointment at 5:30PM. The store closes at 7PM and there was only ONE other person in front of me.
The staff in the office were polite, but didn’t let me know until nearly an hour later that I was basically out of luck because there was no physical doctor on site. That crucial detail should have been made clear when I walked through the door.
This was a total waste of my time and extremely frustrating. America’s Best needs to be upfront about their scheduling and ensure appointments are actually honored. Don’t have people schedule online then if Remote “Drs” don’t honor them.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid This Location. I honestly wish I had never chosen this place. From management to staff to their overall system, everything about this location has been nothing but frustrating and unprofessional.
On my first visit, I completed the initial checkup and was scheduled for a remote doctor consultation. Their systems went down, and I ended up waiting 45–50 minutes with no communication or solution. After almost an hour of sitting there, they told me I now needed an in-person consultation. Seriously? I already took time off work for this appointment.
They scheduled me again for the next day at 4:30 PM. On my way, there was a major roadblock and I immediately called to inform them I would be around 10 minutes late. Despite informing them in advance and arriving only 20 minutes late due to something completely out of my control, they refused to see me.
What makes it worse is that yesterday, when their system failed, I was forced to wait almost an hour, and that was apparently perfectly fine. My time didn’t matter then. But upon requesting politely multiple times to please let the doctor see me since the delay was not my fault, they still said no.
When they make patients wait for an hour — it’s okay but When the patient is late due to a genuine issue — absolutely no flexibility. When I needed them to show the same consideration they expect from customers — nothing.
The staff kept repeating “sorry” yesterday, but today they showed zero empathy, zero effort, and zero professionalism. I came here hoping to get my glasses prescription handled smoothly, but instead I wasted time, energy, and two days of work for absolutely nothing.
I will never return to this location and strongly recommend choosing a different eye care provider. This place does not value your time, your effort, or basic customer service.

Genuinely the worst optometry experience I have ever had. Appointment was scheduled for 12pm but I didn't get seen until 1pm and I was on time. I was gagged by how unprofessional the optometrist examining me was. He asked me to give me him my political opinion on ICE and Venezuela's president being kidnapped and when I said "this is inappropriate for this appointment" he persisted to ask. Needless to say I was gagged and will never be going to this location ever again.

Were sent a millions texts and emails to make sure we are coming to our appointment, I’m talking everyday texts and emails for 2+ weeks. They send an email to fill out paperwork prior to appointment to make things faster. They also tell you to come in 10 mins prior to your appointment time. I arrive for my 10:30 appointment at 10:15. I check in look at glasses and sit in the waiting area it’s now 10:27. Also there are 5 people all here for a 10:30 appointment. What’s the point in the appointment if it’s a suggestion and ultimately it’s first come first. Best part is after I waited an 1 hour and a half I finally see the doctor and it’s VIRTUAL. I feel like there has to be a way to have multiple people in the exam room if the doctors aren’t even in office. The staff was great though.

If you’re looking for a spontaneous all-day retreat with a hint of attitude and a splash of confusion, look no further than America’s Best in South Euclid.
Had a lovely 3:30 PM appointment — or so I thought. What I actually had was a front-row seat to the longest waiting game of my life. We were there for two and a half hours. That’s right — a whole 150 minutes of sitting, staring, and wondering if I had mistakenly signed up for an eye exam or an endurance challenge.
People who walked in after us were called before us, like it was some kind of secret VIP eye club that we didn’t qualify for. When I dared to ask why we were still waiting, I was met with an eye roll, a nice helping of attitude, and a very confident, “We’re on schedule.” Oh? On whose schedule? NASA’s Mars mission?
Pro tip: Do not come here with plans for the day. In fact, go ahead and clear your calendar. Cancel your errands, reschedule dinner, maybe even take PTO — because you're not leaving anytime soon. Better yet, bring a snack, maybe a sleeping bag, and someone to feed your pets while you're gone. You’re basically checking in for a day stay at the Optical Hotel.
If you're someone who values your time, your sanity, or basic customer service, this is not the place for you. But if you're into long waits, passive-aggressive responses, and feeling like you’re being held hostage in a waiting room, then congratulations — you’ve found your new hangout spot.
They’ll never see me again — and I mean that both literally and figuratively.

Today was my first visit at the South Euclid America's Best store. I ran late for my appointment and could have been sent home or rescheduled. The reception Karen was very welcoming, kind, and considerate. She saw my efforts to make it in for my appointment. She took the time to speak with someone in the back of the store and they allowed me through. From start to finish I was impressed with everyone that helped me throughout my eyeglass shopping experience. Thank you all for your kindness, it meant a lot. I will definitely be back and make referrals.

Karen was very rude and did anything to not see my son today. Canceled my appointment before I got there because I couldn't confirm through a phone call. Did not send an email or any other type of correspondence. Also, tried to use the insurance as a reason for him not to be seen today, once confirmed the insurance. She rescheduled. Not even 5min. later called to let me know he was out of network.
If I'm doing the promotion my insurance doesn't even matter. Attitude was awful and did not explain any other options, was just trying to cancel his appointment. I've never seen the place and have no desire to walk foot through those doors.

My Boyfriend scheduled his Appointment for an exam and contact fitting for 9:50 today. Upon arrival at 9:58 (within the allotted grace period of 10 minutes) He was told he would have to reschedule for another day as he was “late”. There was only 1 other customer in store and it seemed like the receptionists weren’t too interested in helping him to begin with.
