First time customer. Waited over a month to get in for an appointment because whoever set the appointment insisted that I needed to see their doctor as part of the exam. Today was supposed to be my appointment. When I got there, I was …

Howl went above and beyond for me to get me a pair of glasses that were discontinued, he called stores all over the United States to find me a pair! He was successful and ordering them for me and got me the best value he could, he is very knowledgeable and Americas Best found the best when they hired him!

Literally saved me from one of the worst experiences of buying eyeglasses in my life!! Originally bought a pair from Stanton Optical that fell apart w/n a year!! They wouldn't honor my warranty and kept giving me the run around so I called America's best. They got me in fast and were professional and courtesy. I actually saw a real doctor (vs a teledoctor) and he was the sweetest and kindest. I will definitely be returning for all my future eye exams.

The staff had a poor attitude and seemed unwilling to help customers. The staff were unfriendly and did not provide a welcoming customer service experience. The doctor is good, but the staff there’s awful.(except the young girl she is nice).Never coming back again.

The staff was excellent, from the receptionist, assistant, Tracy & Dr. Jim all were attentive, pleasant, very helpful. We were late because of an accident on the highway but they made sure we were taking care of even with being 20 minutes late.
Very thorough. This office & staff revived my faith in customer service & in this day & age of most businesses lacking even the basics of customer service - it was a most pleasant reminder of what good service really can be!
Thank you to all who helped us today, May Day.

I had the absolute best experience with America's Best on Miamisburg Centerville Rd. The most personable employees ever. I had Alex wait on me and she was wonderful! Also got my glasses in a week!

All around good experience. The optometrist was great. The finalization of the glasses sale was handled by Tracy, who did a fantastic job! Very friendly and easy to talk to. I'll definitely be back.

very helpful. today was my last day at my job. I thought I had 90 days to spend my FSA money but found out that the money had to already be spent by today but the time is for submitting a claim. I called in the afternoon and asked if I could come in today and pick out glasses. (I already had an active prescription there) the lady who assisted me was friendly and helpful. the only issue would be that their selection of sunglass frames was limited.

We had an appointment for Monday at 5:00 PM. When we made the appointment, they asked if we could come in 20 minutes early if the information was not filled out online. My mom couldn’t do it because she doesn’t speak English, so they asked me to bring someone who speaks English to translate for her. I said no worries, I would be there with her, and they said okay.
We got there 20 minutes early. I made time to be there to translate and help with everything. My mom had been receiving messages reminding her about the appointment. When we arrived, they didn’t say hello or welcome us or ask how they could help. Instead, they said, “Yes, what do you need? Do you want to make an appointment?”
I said no, we were there for her appointment. He asked for her name and date of birth, and after giving him the information, he said her appointment had been canceled without us being notified or receiving at least a call letting us know. I asked who canceled it because we didn’t, and he said he couldn’t see that information on his side.
I was very upset because we were never notified about anything after making time to go there. The whole situation felt very unfriendly and awkward because of how it was handled.

The customer service at this location is second to none. I bought my first pair of glasses from here at my wife’s behest. The general manager is super friendly and customer service oriented. Thank you so much for the help. You’ve earned a loyal customer.

I left my eye exam feeling extremely uncomfortable and unsure about the accuracy of my prescription. Several standard parts of an eye exam were skipped, and the exam itself did not feel thorough or professional.
More concerning, the doctor made repeated comments about my appearance, including remarks about how “cute” my tattoos and piercings are and how I would look in a bikini. These comments were unnecessary and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable.
I have tried multiple times to contact someone and have not received a meaningful response. Because of this experience, I am not comfortable returning and feel I wasted my money. I would not recommend this location or americas best period.

I am so grateful to this business for providing low cost options to those of us who do not have insurance. Not only that, but the optometrist, manager, and a couple of others at this location were kind, understanding, and helpful, as well as knowledgeable. It is a bit of a drive, but the bathrooms were always clean and functional, some of the best I’ve seen.
I did have some trouble with my first pairs of glasses. I had never tried metal frames before, and for whatever reason I was sensitive to the ear pieces. However, the manager went above and beyond what was expected to make it right for me. My plastic frames are much more comfortable.
I am so incredibly grateful for the service and glasses provided by the wonderful people at this location. Thank you!

I went to America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses on Miamisburg Centerville Rd. today for the first time. The employees were friendly and helpful. Alex was very knowledgeable and answered my many questions. I was very pleased and you can't beat the price of 2 pairs for 1!!

Do not go here. They steal your money. Charge you for services not rendered. The doctor tried to put me in contacts for a brand that's different than the brand I've been using for 3 years. When I went to order new contacts with the script he provided I was told I have to come back in and the doctor has to see me in those contacts but they do not have the contacts needed for it as trails. Absolute scam of a business. Go anywhere else. All the frames are trash too.

Turnaround time unacceptable. And staff very rude. With all the add ons go to a local optometrist it’s cheaper and you will definitely be treated better. And revive your glasses within a month

GO TO A DIFFERENT STORE, and preferrably not an America's Best in this area!
The doctor gave me a wrong prescription, and the technician changed the parameters for my glasses.
I still can't see out of the replacment set they gave me at the other America's Best.
Best thing about America's Best anymore is the Owl!

I’ve been to this location twice in last few months for myself and my daughter to have exams and glasses.
The customer service and the overall environment is second to none, the whole staff is so professional and friendly, you can tell their managers work hard to ensure the staff enjoys coming to work.
Teamwork was amazing!!

Tracy was very helpful and patient with me being indecisive and not knowing exactly what all my insurance covered. She explained everything very clearly and it was a pleasant experience. We had a little mishap with my existing pair of glasses towards the end of my transaction, but Nicole stepped in and worked well with Tracy and I to make sure I was taken care of to the best of their ability! Tracy was a 10/10 on hospitality and Nicole was a 10/10 on customer service! Thanks again and I’ll be choosing Americas Best for all my future vision needs!

Just got glasses here, what a waste of money!! $600 down the drain, can't see anything with the close up, don't waste your money going here ,I can't see out of them. The arms on them are so long that they almost wrapped around my ear. What a waste of money what a bunch of garbage you would be better off staying home -/you might as well go over to the drugstore and get you a pair of readers would be better than what they put out.

I admit that the "virtual exam" sounded a little sketchy, but honestly I now prefer that over a standard exam. It was super quick, efficient, and I still got to talk to an Optometrist. The tech that was helping me, Nicole, was absolutely awesome. She did all of the test that the Optometrist would need, moved the little machines around for the Doc, and did all of the technical work. At the end of the day, all the Doc really needs to do is read the results of the test and issue a prescription anyway. No reason they can't do that virtually.
It also helps I spent three years replacing in person meetings with virtual meetings anyhow. So, seeing the doctor on a screen and not in person really wasn't a big deal.

Best experience I have ever had when getting an eye exam and glasses! Staff was friendly, helpful, funny, and work as a team. Prices were great and the manager personally helped me when 1 of the pairs I purchased wasn't working out. Also, came in a full week before I expected them. Love this place

I have been an America's Best EyeCare Club member for over 10 years, and this specific store, hands down, is the worst customer experience I've ever had.
I made an appointment because my eye was irritated and I wanted a quick check-up. Instead of receiving care, I was rudely hit with a surprise charge. I was told my simple exam wasn't covered because it was suddenly "medical," and I would have to pay cash out of pocket. Confused I tried to explain that I just wanted a standard exam to make sure nothing was wrong, but the staff was completely unhelpful. They kept cutting me off, just repeating "It's medical, it's cash only." There was no explanation, no help, just terrible, dismissive service. After I realized I was getting nowhere,
I finally just walked out and made an appointment at the Wilmington Pike location. Where they were amazing!! Even telling me they didn't understand why that happened and kept apologizing for their behavior
Tldr: Avoid this store if you can! Save yourself the frustration and go to the one on Wilmington Pike. They actually care and treat customers with respect and professionalism.

If this is actually America's best place for eye care, nobody looking for optometrist care has any hope.
The customer service was TERRIBLE (apart from the Dr and one man at the front desk who was very nice). Other than that, worst place I've ever been. When making the appt on the phone, one of the staff (Nicole) rushed me, got impatient with my questions, and seemed annoyed. I brushed it off at the time but wished I hadn't.
While we waited, I overheard 2 staff ladies complaining about how much they hated their job and couldnt wait to retire. Also, when one of the staff was helping us, the Dr came up to talk with her. She interrupted and rudely dismissed him, telling him she couldnt talk now.
The Dr was nice and very polite, but the eye exam seemed too shallow. I have been in optometrist offices since the age of 4 and was expecting a thorough and in-depth exam (plus, we were told the exam would take an hour, and it lasted about 20 mins). The Dr seemed too old to be practicing...he seemed to be confused at points (couldnt remember his office address, said he was going to ask us questions about our paperwork but didnt) and left some places on the form unfilled (he did fix it when I asked).
But after we left, we realized ANOTHER place on the form was not filled out, so we returned to ask about it. We were very polite but the Nicole lady was NOT! She crossed the room twice to interfere while we were being helped by other staff members. At first she was short with us, but then progressed to being outright rude and kept cutting us off. Didn't seem to care about her customers at all or upholding the reputation of her workplace.
They explained that place on the form was a service they couldnt offer, which is super frustrating because the whole reason we came in was to fill out that form - which they knew, I had explained it on the phone, and showed the form to all the staff when we came in. Nothing was said about lack of that service. Feel like we wasted our money.
At one point, another staff cut in to explain something helpful, but Nicole would not let her say anything and walked away from us loudly complaining, "He's just ignoring us," (which wasnt true) "leave him alone."
Nothing about goodbye, have a nice day, so sorry we can't help...
Wish I had read other people's reviews. Will never come back again.
