Hughes served as Chief of the Artificial Eye and Restorations Clinic with the Veterans Administration in St. Louis and Washington, D.C., and is the principal ocularist at the University of Virginia. The clinic also has offices in Richmond, Roanoke, and Charlottesville, and Hughes co-edited and published the book A Singular View, which includes a chapter on prosthetic eyes.

I would love to say that Neill Hughes did an amazing job on my eye. He matched my color perfectly and his work was impeccable!! The confidence that good work restores in you can’t be put into words and that’s what he did!! Highly, highly recommend!!

I felt uncomfortable during my visit. Dr. Hughes was giving me care instructions for my eye and socket but he was extremely rude and unempathetic to my needs and emotions. Every patient is not the same and the trauma that may accompany some patients should be taken into consideration. He was more concerned with the medical and brushed off my anxiety amd fear. I decided to go with a different prosthetic eye doctor in VIRGINIA and not only got the eye the same day but I received better care and attitude towards my ptsd and trauma.

This was the most amazing place ever. Made the process so simple, explained everything an how long it would take. Very great place an ocularist they know what they doing... Hands down wish I could give 20stars bc I would...
