I went there to find out about my eye disease and she explained everthing. She is a great dr so I sent other family members to her that were having eye trouble.

Dr. Assad gave the most comprehensive and thorough eye examination I have ever had. She discussed her evaluation and recommendations in a very professional and compassionate manner. She answered every single question with patience and in language I could understand. I highly recommend Dr. Assaad.

She was EXTREMELY dismissive of an issue I'm having with my eye that is having certain problems. She couldn't see any problems with it after examining it, and just completely brushed my concerns off. I actually had to push for answers and to get her to recommend an MRI since she couldn't see anything physically wrong with it. And when she pointed out that I could probably use my first prescription she told me she wasn't going to write a prescription because she said I wouldn't wear the glasses, since my prescription wasn't a high strength. This was her first time meeting me! How does she know if I will wear the glasses or not?? In fact, she initially said the reason I was having the issue with my eye was because of my eyes straining - so why the heck wouldn't you recommend I get the prescription and wear the glasses, instead of predicting that I just wouldn't wear them?!! On top of that, the entire staff was curt with me, and dismissive of my issue as well. Also, when I finally was getting my prescription, she flew through the entire process, and didn't take the time to assess what my vision was like through each individual eye, despite the fact that I told her everything looks smaller with my right eye.. Like what is wrong with this arrogant woman? I will NEVER go back!
EDIT UPDATE: I ended up going to a retinal specialist and he immediately identified that I had a retinal detachment - a very serious issue! I asked her if I might be suffering from this and she dismissed my concern out of hand and told me "You don't have a retinal detachment, sir".. Thank god my general practitioner knew exactly what I was describing, and referred me to my retinal specialist! Why did my general practitioner know what I was describing, and yet she wouldn't listen to me about it at all??
