Getting SMILE Laser Surgery performed by Dr. Ashraf is one of the best decisions I've made. I had high nearsightedness (~ -7.00) and astigmatism for both eyes, however, after the surgery, my vision are spectacularly improved and I can see clearly without glasses (nearly 20/20). The surgery only took up to 10 minutes for both eyes, and the burning pain only lasted for one hour after the anesthesia wear off in my case. Not only I am very pleased with the surgery's outcome but also the friendliness of Dr. Ashraf and the staffs, they made me feel like home! Dr. Ashraf is a professional, he knows exactly what he is doing, and by looking at his performance, I have no anxiety when laying on the surgical table. My friend also got the same surgery performed by Dr. Ashraf as mine last year and his vision are always clear and stable. TLDR: Great SMILE Laser surgery result, professional doctor and nice staffs. Best doctor's office I've been in my life.

This is the place to go for vision correction surgery in Georgia PERIOD! I said it right... "IN GEORGIA"!! This is your eyes folks. And what's important is the level of education, experience, confidence and skill of the Doctor. You want more than just an MD. What was important to me is how knowledgeable and seasoned are you with your skill? Lets go over Dr. Ashraf experience.. 1. BOARD CERTIFIED. 2. Professor at John Hopkins University 3. Fellowship in Corneal and Refractive Surgery at Wilmer Eye Institute at John Hopkins 4. Fellowship American College of Surgeons. Dr. M. Farooq Ashraf also "Teaches", believes and follow this skill! Once again, this is your eyes. Your key to the world and your life. Dr. Ashraf is confident, professional, and very proficient with his hands in performing his skills. My SMILE surgery was 10 minutes? If that?? maybe less from the time I was on the table. Until I got off the table. Dr. Ashraf is QUICK with the process of SMILE (my procedure). His staff is professional with their office and prep skills during consultation, all the way to surgery. His staff is quick to resolve and fix any problems or concerns that may arise. So the day of surgery will go smoothly as possible. And always available. I had a problem getting my eye drops filled at CVS. And his staff took care of that while I was there at CVS, still on the phone with his staff! AWESOME!! Dr. Ashraf called me at 9:30pm day of post op SMILE. To check how I was doing. Only Doctors that care about their patients call to check on them. It's a blessing to know he is thinking about you.. I have had Lasik consultations from other Doctors before in the past, but never felt comfortable with them. When I came to Dr. Ashraf, I knew he was the one. All the way to the staff! VERY NICE OFFICES!! We are blessed to have this Doctor in Metro Atlanta! And YES!!! He is affordable... PLEASE FOLKS give him a chance if your looking for correction surgery. I would recommend Dr. Ashraf and his staff without reservation.. Don't take your eye's to just anyone. I was seeing clearly by the evening of my SMILE surgery procedure. Heck.... I am writing this review on the computer, and I just had surgery yesterday morning... NEED I SAY MORE!!!

I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my SMILE surgery and my overall experience with Dr. Ashraf and his team. I was extremely nervous going into the surgery, but Dr. Ashraf talked to me every step of the way, informing me of what was going on and what I needed to do - which, for the most part was stay still! :) I experienced no pain during the surgery; only mild discomfort, but that was mainly due to the fact that I am not used to other people messing with my eyes. Honestly, the surgery was not bad at all and if I did ever have to have it done again I would be much less nervous, if at all. Once the surgery was complete I stopped by the pharmacy to pick up my eye drops and went home to sleep, as instructed by the doc. On the way home my vision was a little cloudy, I had some light sensitivity and my eyes started burning a little bit once the numbing eye drops wore off. Now, I wore contacts for the majority of my life and for me, the burning sensation was akin to waking up one morning after falling asleep in my contacts...not bad at all. After my nap, my cloudiness had greatly decreased and the burning sensation was gone. I took my eyedrops as prescribed and within about two weeks my vision was near perfect! I had experienced halos around lights, which made it a little difficult to drive at night for a week or two. A month later the halos have decreased drastically and my vision is pretty close to perfect! My only side effect at this point is dry eyes every now and then, but it isn't constant and when it does occur, I just put lubricating eye drops in and that takes care of it. Overall, I would say that if you are considering getting SMILE, go for it. It is well worth it and if you are nervous about the surgery, I can tell you that the worst part of it for me was just ME freaking myself out.
