I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lancaster for more than ten years and I have consistently received excellent care from him and his staff. My husband and our two children are each patients as well. He is extremely thorough, highly knowledgeable and is truly passionate about the health of our eyes. The office is lovely and is stocked with state-of-the-art equipment. The staff is competent and helpful and I have never had to wait any length of time beyond my scheduled appointment time. I referred a friend recently who thought he had a clogged tear duct. Dr. Lancaster immediately determined it was something more serious. After a biopsy, it was determined to be a pre-cancerous growth that requires monitoring. My friend credits Dr. Lancaster for saving his eye and possibly his life. I couldn’t give Dr. Steve Lancaster any higher mark. I highly recommend him and Atlantic Eye Institute for your eye care needs.

Dr Lancaster is amazing! He is extremely thorough, kind and is always willing to take time to educate. I have not only switched my daughter to his practice but have also referred my mother, sister and two nieces. I would not trust anyone else with my family’s vision needs and hope he never retires!

Dr Lancaster is about as straight forward as they come. I came to him a few years ago with a pretty significant eye issue (recurring corneal erosion) that my regular eye doctor couldn't quite figure out. Dr Lancaster figured it out and put me on a plan to recover immediately. Since then he's also been very proactive on some ideas to try out to get my vision just a bit sharper. I've worn glasses my whole life and with my eye conditions i was never supposed to be able to wear contacts. We started on some soft ones a few years ago and have since progressed to Scleral lenses. I have ocular albinism so i'm pretty light sensitive. We just recently tried a very experimental and pretty rare set of tinted scleral lenses. they definitely darken up my eye a little bit but they're just fine to wear at night and during the day they absolutely cut down on glare when stepping outside. I still need a pair of shades when it's bright but it's a lot easier to open my eyes outside with these in. Dr Lancaster will tell you what you need to know but he will also think outside the box and try some things (perfectly safe things of course) that most other Doctors wouldn't think of trying to get your vision as sharp and comfortable as it can be. I'm very grateful for his work.
