Austin EyeWorks is an optometry practice in the Oak Hill area of southwest Austin, Texas. It provides routine eye exams, contact lens exams and fittings, eyewear, dry eye treatment, and care for conditions such as diabetes-related eye concerns.
Dr. Karen Summers took over the practice from Dr. Paul Jacobs in January 2020, continuing more than 30 years of eye care in the community. She earned degrees from Texas A&M University and the University of Houston College of Optometry and completed a residency in primary care and ocular disease. Priyal Desai is also named.

I love going to Austin Eyeworks. Dr. Summers works compassionately and thoroughly to check my eyes and address concerns. Her staff is kind and a delight. I know when I go, I will be given great service, and I can’t wait to get my new glasses!

Dr. Summers is an excellent eye doctor and a nice person. I enjoy seeing her and her staff. She is very helpful in problem solving any vision challenges I have. I appreciate the easy in and easy out small office environment that feels like a family.
