I've assisted 2 senior citizens in receiving eye procedures from Dr. Strinden over the course of the past 6 months. He strikes me as being the Joel Osteen of laser surgery. He breezes in, flashes a toothy smile, gives a brief description of what he's going to be doing, then rushes out the door. The post op contact/care by Dr. Strinden was laughable at best and outright neglect of duty at its worst this past week. Six days post-op, and the last gentleman I assisted still has not received the eye drops he was supposed to be using after the eye surgery. In some of the many phone calls I made to Strinden's office to find out what the delay was, I was told that the local eye doctor should prescribe them (nope, said the local eye doc, he didn't perform the surgery!); then that the "doctor" had 24 hours to get a prescription to the pharmacy (lol--for drops that were supposed to be in the eye the same day). Then I was told it was a holiday weekend, so I'd just need to be patient. Then I was told the script had been sent, and it was a pharmacy issue. 3 days into the fiasco, it turned out the script had been sent to the wrong pharmacy all along. Imagine lining patients up and doing procedure after procedure after procedure, and then rushing home to prepare for the holiday without ensuring they all had their medications lined up. And then finding out, whilst you were stuffing yourself with turkey, that one script had fallen through the cracks and an old man was sitting at home, stressed out, without the meds you told him he needed to take...and not getting yourself back to the office to figure out what had gone wrong. I was advised by the pharmacy to never have a procedure done on a Friday or right before a holiday, because doctors like to have the work, but everyone involved in the procedure just wants to get home (especially the doc); they'll get back to providing more professional care when the office opens back up again. Then she pointed toward the many, many people milling about the pharmacy and said, "80% of these people are waiting on scripts from doctors who have already checked out until next week. Happens every Friday and every holiday. They. Don't. Care." We have made a total of 7 trips to the pharmacy for a prescription we have still not received. Makes one wonder how important they really are. I'm giving this eye surgeon two stars based on the fact that his surgical nurses were actually helpful and seemed like true medical professionals.

I’m on my first day out after getting LASIK. Dr. Strinden and his team were amazing. They made my nerves go down tremendously and had me in and out within 2 hours. I woke up the next day (today) feeling like a million bucks! I never thought anything like this would be possible and work so well. Truly an amazing experience and would recommend them to anyone interested in laser surgery.
