Dr Pace asked if he could narrate what he was doing to the student observing my procedures. As someone who prefers knowing as much as possible I was thrilled! I already had the confidence in his skills to allow him to do the surgery but I was amazed at all the nuances needed for each eye. Dr Pace proved again why I was happy and comfortable having him do my eyelids. Brandon is a very gentle and kind assistant and a great asset to the team!

I have been with this practice for several years now. Dr Carrera did both of my cataract surgeries and follow up care. He has a great manner and is most helpful with questions that you have. This past visit on 7/7/26 I saw Dr Austin Nave. I have just been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and had questions about how it affects your eyes . He did a thorough exam on my eyes during the visit and explained how it would become noticeable to me if it was starting. I was most appreciative of the info and thorough exam. Dr Nave was very helpful.

Baptist Eye Surgeons is a great group of eye doctors/surgeons. I have been seeing Dr. Darin Smith for probably close to 20 years if not more. Have always received excellent care. The staff is great and very accommodating. I would recommend this group to anyone.

Dr Carrera is very professional and knowledgeable in his field. He explains his findings in a clear way and answers any concerns you may have. He is very kind and conscious and genuinely wants the best outcome for your eyes. The staff is also very pleasant and the facility very clean.

Baptist Eye Surgeons - Dr Darin Smith is an excellent doctor. Very thorough, professional, and caring. He took care of my elderly mother and was so good to her that I decided to start using him myself. He's been my eye doctor for 20 years and I highly recommend Dr Smith and the staff at Baptist Eye Center. All are very friendly and professional. Never had a bad experience. Five star.
