I had been going to Dr. Close since I was 16 years old. I am now 32. My daughter went to him, my husband went to him after we married. My grandmother was seen by Dr. Close and so was my biological mother. My entire family went to Dr. Close. He was the nicest, kindest doctor. After his death, I tried to make an appointment to be seen again due to my glasses not allowing me to see properly, and I was told that the new owners would not see me due to my many missed appointments. Now, I couldn't figure out what appointments I missed being that my insurance only covers glasses every two years. I was hurt. I had been going to Dr. close majority of my life and now, the new owners just took over and forgot about the people who were loyal to the office. Dr. Close would have never turned me away. Horrible way to treat patients who spent years coming to Dr. Close. Since then, I have told all of my family and friends to stop going to this office.

I have been going to Dr. Close for years. I originally switched to him after having issues with my contacts at a previous Dr. He fixed my problem right away. His office has always gone out of their way to assist me. From working with me to make sure my glasses worked and letting me swap them out for contacts when they didn't, to getting a wood chip in my eye over the weekend and having Dr. Close personally call me back within an hour. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an optometrist.

RIP Dr. Close. I went to your office this afternoon and asked why when I came for my appt. last Friday. (5/28/21) the office was closed. The receptionist sadly told me that you had passed away on Tues. 5//22/21. To say I was shocked is an under statement. I was your patient for many many years. You were the best eye dr. I have ever known. You will be so missed and so loved by so many. My heart goes out to your family and friends. Respectfully, Deb Lindner
