Bay Area Eye institute was a great experience! Being my 1st time there the staff was very welcoming! Doctor Berger and his staff were very thorough with the exam process. I felt I was given good care ! Thank you very much

This was my third cataract evaluation in close to four years, and by far the most exhaustive, thorough, and professionally implemented, and in less time than the previous two. Dr. Berger is a consummate and calm professional, who patiently walked me through the problems and options, while catching THREE other issues that neither Newsome nor St. Luke's caught. I have complete confidence in Bay Area Eyre Institute, the staff, and Dr. Berger, and will continue to use them for my eye care needs. They are highly recommended! ~Michael

I’m 25 years old and have had glasses since I was 6. In 19 years of seeing various eye doctors, this is hands down the WORST facility I have ever been to. I chose this facility because they appear to have great reviews, yet now seeing all the low ratings, I’m glad i’m not alone. First, my eye exam took 2 hours. I didn’t get dilated and I have no additional issues with my eyes. Just bad vision. The first practitioner did my exam and was widely off from my existing prescription. I tested 20/15 vision with my existing contacts and they insisted on changing my prescription. They used the Phoropter (The huge glasses thing where they go 1 or 2, A or B) and my sight was worse than my eyesight without contacts. Keep in mind I have -5.5 eyesight with astigmatism. After that, they sent me into another waiting room to wait on the doctor. There, I waited an additional 30 minutes to see the doctor where I outright just had to tell them my current prescription. I had to call back and provide my astigmatism prescription and they said they would write the prescription based on my previous lenses. Now, two weeks later, I still have not received a prescription for my contacts and have called 5 times asking for an update. Now, they are saying since allegedly my eye sight has changed, they won’t give me lenses and I need to come in for another appointment when the doctor won’t be in for another 2 weeks. This is the most insane “medical facility” I have ever had the displeasure of working with.
