Bay Area Retina Associates is a group practice of retinal surgeons near San Francisco. I arrived a bit early and was seen promptly by two members of the care team who administered some tests and took “pictures” that allowed the doctor to evaluate my condition as well as perform additional examinations. I saw Dr Luo who was superb - very professional and extremely nice. He explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions. I truly felt that I was “in good hands” with this team. I’m very confident that I’ve place my eye care with the right team.

Everyone here seems very friendly and professional. Easy with insurance. Have been seeing Dr Marlow for years. She is really great at making checkups and surgical processes easy and comfortable for me.

Horrible experience. I made an appt. for a certain time with a certain doctor. When i got there I was told that Dr . doesn't work that day and I had a different doctor. Also told I would have to wait 1.5 to 2 hrs. I was shocked, no one had said anything about that when I made the appt. But apparently "that is the way things are in this office." I left without being seen, having taken time off from work, paid for parking, and gotten completely inconvenienced. Also took 15 minutes to get my copay back which they asked for instantly after I walked in, I guess taking the money doesn't take any time at all. Just getting care. Beware.
