My mom's vision had gotten to the point where she could barely see anything. We were scared that surgery might not be an option, but Dr. Krishna Shanmugam (Dr. K) at BCS Eye Associates was confident that he could help her. He was wonderfully kind and thorough, and made sure to answer all of our questions. He never rushed her, and his gentle and caring demeanor put her at ease during what could have been a traumatic experience. Despite her being a tough case, Dr. K successfully restored my mom's vision. I could not be more thankful for Dr. K. His skill as a surgeon and his compassion for people is unmatched.

I’ve had several eye specialists in my life, and no one even comes close to Dr. K! So many ophthalmologists don’t listen to their patients and are out of the room within minutes. Not Dr. K! He actually cares and has quickly become my favorite doctor! I had an eye emergency at 11pm once and he was able to get me the help I needed. He isn’t quick to surgery, he’s thorough and cautious, and I couldn’t trust someone more. I now live in Houston, but I will continue to see him! 10/10 recommend 😊

I don't have enough superlatives to describe Dr. K. My family has a history of glaucoma and we are lucky to have a fellowship trained glaucoma specialist in Bryan/College Station. He is extremely detail oriented, a wonderful teacher (he explains what he sees and what he plans to do in plain English), and is very humble and unpretentious. Additionally, Dr. K is a cornea specialist. We are glad to have such a highly qualified surgeon in the bcs area!
