This has been a location that I was brought to as a child. Not the exact same room but the exact same staff just the rooms moved. Since it is the only place I’ve gone to, it’s where I’ve decided to take my children for the past 5 years. I just received a phone call for my sons appointment for tomorrow and at the end of the call the receptionist mentioned to not forget to bring his vaccination card. My son is not vaccinated and will not be vaccinated for medical reasons. When I mentioned that my son is not vaccinated her response was “ ok I will cancel the appointment.” It felt so dismissive and rude. I asked, “Even if it is not mandated for his age group?” He is 8 years old, it is highly suggested but not mandatory. Again, he also is medically excused which i didn’t even have a chance to mention before she repeated I will cancel the appointment bye. There has been no notification that it is mandatory for my kids to be vaccinated to attend their appointment. I will be transferring both of my kids out of this location. It feels like a loss because this is my childhood facility but the way the receptionist handled the situation was enough for me to change my mind. I understand everyone worry and concerns with Covid, I am not against the vaccine as I am too vaccinated but my child is severely allergic and I will not risk his life for a vaccination.

I had a very amazing time with my Doctor, she was kind, caring and professional! She attacked to my needs and address my condition, j have much respect and admiration. Thanks

Very kind and helpful staff. The space is a little cramped but the services are fast, the wait isn’t really long. And you can easily step outside for a few mins as it’s close to the front entrance.

Guillermo was amazing and helped me through my glasses ordering process with plenty of great frame choices. They were attentive and kind staff and they care about their patients.

I got back into town and had several messages from this place to confirm I was coming to my appointment, I was in a place where reception wasn't ti great and the lady on the voice-mail wasn't really all that pleasant. I called today to confirm my appointment and she was rude like she was so bothered that I was finally returning her call. Later I decided I didn't want to go to my appointment because if reception was this rude what would the staff be like. When I called and told her she like out a huff like it was a problem and was short with me on the phone and then hung up. This place needs to replace the receptionist. She's not the one I booked with who was so friendly and pleasant. I will be finding somewhere else to go to. Given the reviews it seems it may be the same receptionist giving problems.

My experience with Bella Vista Eye Clinic was okay , but also somewhat disappointing. The doctor , Dr Vu, was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable , but when it came time for me to get my eyeglasses prescription she Wrote the incorrect prescription for me. I am completely blind in one eye , and my prescription should have shown a balanced lens in my Blind Eye , but instead , Dr Vu wrote in an actual correction number. Just made it so when I went to get new lenses at Costco, instead of only charging me for one lens , they were going to charge me for both lenses because Dr Vu wrote a prescription on both lenses. I went back to the eye clinic to have them correct my prescription , and received pushback from the technician who said the I clinic should just know that my Blind Eye should be a balanced lens. I had to insist that they redo my prescription and actually make a notation that the lens was balanced , before they finally acquiesced. This is a very basic process , and all of my life I have never had a problem with my prescription before going to Bella Vista Eye Clinic

So i bought some prada glasses with lenses the total was over 2,000 i paid for the extra insurance a few months later i came in to get a replacement 3 months later im still getting the run around by the so called supervisor who refuses to let me speak with someone above him he tells me there is no one i am it!! I have been coming here for yrs not anymore thanks to Mr supervisor refusing to help me first time i ever try to use my insurance i never had before

Absolute professionalism. The service was a number one from start to finish. From receptionist to eye doctor that examined me. Absolutely would referral Bella Vista eye to anyone in earshot of me. Thank you Bella Vista and God bless America.

On the surface, everything seems great. This is a small eye clinic that offers services in both English and Spanish, located in the heart of the Mission district, specifically between 20th and 21st streets. The clinic provides high-quality services for all ages, whether you're a minor, an adult, or an elderly person. First, you'll undergo a quick exam. After that, you'll meet a friendly doctor. Then, based on your prescription, they'll help you choose the right glasses. You'll be able to try on different models before deciding whether to use your medical insurance or pay out-of+ pocket for a brand-name set. The only negative aspect is that there is no parking available even on the street. The area has very intensive traffic, so you might get a ticket if you try to park your car there for a short time. However, there is a MUNI bus stop on 20th Street, so you can use the bus to get to the clinic.

I was having trouble reading and seeing things that I needed to sée and you were kind enough to get me in as soon as you could and you were courteous respectful and care enough to listen and.help you didn't hold back or hide any thing from me and didn't try to just give me any pair of glasses you let me pick the ones I liked and I refered you to a friend of mine . .

Place will not accept kids without Covid vaccinations. A few months ago, they had appointments without kids needing Covid vaccinations. ***Even if they are fully immunized per State requirements*** they now have to have it--explained by the receptionist. In fact, there was never a mention of anyone needing the Covid vaccination from the last appointment. Adults are understandable, but there is no mandate for 5-6 year olds. This use to be a staple in the Mission, Las Portales always housed businesses to represent the people, now this.

My experience here was great from making my initial appointment the woman got me in with no problem got in to my appointment waited less then 5minutes to be seen and was helped with picking out my glasses over all I had a great experience and would recommend them to the people I know. I had an appointment & was seen quickly. Very quickly. I felt rushed from 1 station to the next & also while I was in each station. A woman technition made an uncalled for snarky comment at me & the pick-out-your-frames lady 'recommended' a sight-enhancing layer put over the lens. $325 frames/ lens/ layer. Apparently layer cannot be purchased & applied to my Medical lens. What's up w/ that? Her manner felt demeaning, directed towsrd my income level. Remember: this is in the heart of The Mission & they service lots of families w/ lots of kids... Not a quiet clinic but friendly + efficie nt for the most part. Oh yeah. I have to wait 4-6 weeks for my nothing-special-at-all, ordinary prescription glasses...
