I found BenchWorks back in 2009, maybe earlier. I needed new frames. The gentlemen that run this place were so easy to work with. Honest and direct. Amazing service. After I left Silicon Valley in 2016, I continue to reach out to them *first* before buying my glasses elsewhere. I have used them to replace lenses repeatedly, by sending my frames directly to them. They keep my prescription and its changes on file. They remember my name. And my old name. And my kids. This is Old-School service at its BEST. Now back on the east coast I still do my best to give them my business when ever I can. I'm sure I'm paying a little more than necessary partly due to shipping costs and sentimentality, but for the service I've received from them over the years, it's well worth it.

I have had new lenses made here several times. I am writing a review so that more people will support this local shop. It is possible to do everything online, but I like to support local businesses. These guys are great, very good quality at a very good price.

I was looking for a place to get my Dad’s new lenses made, came across Benchwork Optical. Best decision I’ve made this year. After getting my Dad’s done, I came back for mine and it was excellent workmanship and fast too. If you need new lenses for your frames of a whole new pair of glasses this is the place to go!
