I don’t often write reviews, but in this case I felt like I needed to. Dr. Ian McWherter always comes into the appointments with an egotistical attitude and raises his voice with visible frustration if the patient doesn’t follow an instruction the first time. I highly recommend Dr. Slayden. He has amazing patient-interaction skills and is always very patient and professional.

I like these people. They have not been pushy at all. Very nice and very skilled. Dr. Mueller definitely put our minds at ease regarding my wife's need or lack thereof for surgery on the second eye.

I had a very irritating experience at Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers. I went in with a specific concern for a macular edema in my eye but instead of being listened to, I felt like I got the run around after a 2 hour long appointment. Dr. Bloom did not know after running about 5 different test on why I’m losing vision. His words verbatim “well I’m not sure why this is happening but it could be syphilis” without actually explaining why it could be that or how he came to that answer??? What made the situation worse was the way it was initially brought up in front of an intern and second person. In front of staff, he made inappropriate comments about my relationship status, including saying he was “glad he’s married,” after explaining how I don’t understand how it could be syphilis when I just had my blood work done, a few weeks previously, he asked “why” I got my blood work done, which I explained is the responsible thing to do when you have a new partner because I am a single person, which felt unprofessional and unnecessary. He said I need to get my blood done again, which I personally went to my primary doctor and explained the situation which they stated Dr. bloom should have sent a lab over to them so they know what they need to test for, mind you the day after I got my blood drawn myself, his office called and said they “forgot” to send the lab over and forgot to speak to me while checking out of the appointment. I left feeling like it was a waste of day, no answers to my eye condition. No patient should be made to feel judged or disrespected when seeking medical care. I would strongly recommend others look elsewhere for a provider who treats patients with more dignity and professionalism. Other then that, his staff members where friendly and all worked well navigating me through the test and exams.

Certainly not the best experience. I was left with an expensive bill which included a MRI, and still no answer for the cause of my eye condition. The doctor didn’t even bother to call me back into the office to discuss the results or other plan of care options. I’ve recommended numerous elderly individuals to this practice over the past 10 years in my profession, but after my personal experience I will never again.

my intake was professional and fast; arrived for my 10:05 appointment a bit early and was immediately seen; the ophthalmology assistants were good [Kaila was great] and after all the exams/testing & just before 11:20 I was told to wait and the doctor [Tankeman] would see me soon - which was the sole reason for my visit; I finally left just before noon without seeing the doctor. waiting 40 minutes to confer with the doctor was nonprofessional. while I liked the service leading up to the appointment, I doubt I will return or recommend Bennett & Bloom

Amazing experience. Had an appointment with Dr. Rowland, she was so professional and graceful. The entire appointment from start to finish was quick, efficient and with outstanding results. Highly recommend for any procedure/consult. Truly a great experience!
