This was once a highly professional and responsive ophthalmology practice. Now, even in an emergency you can't speak with a doctor for days, you can't get an appointment for months. No one here cares a bit. The front desk staff are incompetent and rude. Disgraceful.

Five stars aren’t anywhere near enough. I have had the very good fortune and privilege to have my eyes looked after by Peter Cornell for over 20 years now, ever since we moved to Los Angeles. I cannot recommend Dr Cornell highly enough. (He was recommended by the other highly-renowned ophthalmologist who had looked after me in New York for many years and first operated on me when I was about 5 years old). Dr Cornell, a world class ophthalmic surgeon and his team have been nothing but exquisitely professional for all those years. About a year ago, yes in the middle of covid, my vision started getting rapidly worse: we had long been monitoring my regular cataracts but it turns out a second, uncommon fast-growing type also appeared frighteningly quickly. I could barely see through one eye and the other was also starting to go. It was an incredibly scary time. Demand on medical professionals has been off the charts during covid and yet, as he was for all the many years before, Peter was calm, attentive and immensely reassuring. He took time, listened carefully, explained all the options. You never felt rushed. On one occasion, there was a medical emergency he had to attend to, the waiting time was admittedly long, he apologized so much, all that I could answer was that he was well worth the wait. Let’s face it, when you go to a fast food restaurant, the service is quick but the quality isn’t close to a restaurant where the chef needs some time to prepare a good meal. I like fast food too, but these are my only two eyes.. They are easily worth a bit of patience. Surgeries with Dr Cornell were scheduled and, in the time leading up to those surgeries, somewhere approaching a dozen of my friends (who didn’t know I was a patient of Dr Cornell) told me I needed to go see Dr Cornell, that he was the best person for the surgery. Until my surgeries, I had worn distance glasses since I was a kid and, after about 40, reading glasses. Now, I see perfectly from about 2 feet away to infinity and only need very weak reading glasses. Today I had my six month post operative follow up and all is great. It was Thanksgiving a few days ago. I am so grateful for Dr Cornell. COULD. NOT. BE. HAPPIER.

I cannot say enough about the incredible experience I had at this office. They performed the most thorough tests to get an advanced understanding of my eye health and needs— I was blown away. After finishing the tests we came up with a comprehensive (and realistic!) plan for my continued health needs. I have incredibly dry eyes and an astigmatism, so I was a higher risk candidate for lasik. This dream team helped my wildest wishes come true and now I have better-than-perfect vision. I will be a patient for life!
