Decided to stop in with my wife and check out their selection, after looking around for 15 minutes or so at the glasses and not being offered any assistance my wife walked around to the front of the counter to ask for more information on their 2 for 99 special because it seemed too good to be true. The lady working seemed to be more interested in her phone than answering our questions, we were the only ones in at the time too. Usually if I’m somewhere and the employees act inconvenienced by my questions I’ll leave but my wife had picked out a frame she really liked and was willing to overlook the attitude. After some time of her looking in the computer she gave us the estimate and it was grossly over the advertised amount. My wife had asked why it was so much and we were informed the frame was more expensive than the sale allowed. When we asked which ones were included she said we needed to pick a pair of frames that were under a hundred bucks, with no guidance as to where to find them saying the price could be found on the side. We looked around for another 20 minutes and couldn’t find anything that looked and fit well under the price limit. Had customer service not been non existent we probably would have gone with the first pick even though it was more than double the sale they were advertising. My advice would be to go somewhere who values their customers and takes time to welcome and explain everything without an attitude. We ended up going to Walmart right up the street and found they were pleasant and very helpful, was a little more expensive but we were offered many options and found a pair of glasses we both liked! Maybe other BJ’s locations are better but this one ruined it for us

Ordered glasses from here and was told the warranty that was an extra twenty some dollars was part of the package and that it couldn’t be taken off. I don’t need the warranty but was still charged for it. Once my glasses came back I went to pick them up, was told they close at 7. I got there at 5:30 and when I walk up to the counter there was a sign saying they’ll be back at 5:05...... so I waited even though it was way pass 5:05. The optical manager finally came and gave me my glasses. I told her they were very loose. And instead of her tighting up the handles she just bends them more so that they don’t fall off my face..... long story short I ended up taking them to Walmart to get them tighten. The lady, so called “optical manager” whom works here needs to find another job because she’s clearly there just for the money and not to help the customers. I will not be returning in the future if she’s still there.
