The team that I had for my cataract surgery was not as efficient as the team I had in May. An aide put my oxygen on upside down. The RN couldn't find a vein for my IV. I finally told her where my good vein was, and she used it. After surgery, I woke up sick & vomiting. Apparently the anesthesiologist didn't use the same medication as I had in May & did not put the anti-nausea med in the IV. Another nurse put my IV back in yet another vein to add fluids, so I had 3 bruises from IV needles. Recommend better training for this team. I am glad Dr. Suedecum did a good job on my second surgery.

The doctors and staff are very caring. The actual cataract surgery went very well, and the followup care was also outstanding. The only frustrating experience was the numerous times I had to repeat my insurance info for numerous people both at Dr. Suedekum's office and at the Scottsdale Surgery Center, due to the transition to an independent practice for Dr. Suedekum, and new software that had been installed. I probably had at least six phone calls relating to my insurance, several of them the day before my first surgery, which added to my anxiety. That being said, for eye care, I would definitely recommend Dr. Suedekum and his staff without reservation.

Everything about my MANY trips to Dr. Sudekum's office has been exceptional! Best doctor/surgeon I've ever seen! Do your research, he's highly accredited and an amazing cornea transplant surgeon!! I wouldn't trust my eye surgeries to anyone else!
