I am new to Florida and I thought I was making a great decision by choosing this eye doctor for my annual exam. From the time I walked there was a lack of professionalism and clear attitudes from the ladies at the front desk. They have a "I do this everyday and I hate it" attitude. But I looked past it because I've worked the front desk so I know how mentally exhausting it can be. However, this does not excuse or justify how you treat other people. My rating is one star because these healthcare facilities will do whatever they can to get money out of you. Anything they can bill for, they will do their damnedest to make it happen. I have never been to an eye doctor who "requires" you to have your eyes dilated. During my visit, it was never disclosed to me that it would be "required" or "medically necessary" to have my eyes dilated. This was NEVER explained to me. So I called today and spoke with someone named Samantha. She refused to order my contacts because I "had to" have my eyes dilated in order to conclude my exam. This was news to me and was not once explained to me during my visit. I say all that to say, make sure you have CLEAR verbal and written instructions or directions before and after your visit with these people. They clearly make up rules as they go because Samantha had no clue what she was talking about. Everything she said on the phone was news to me and was NEVER disclosed to me at the time of my visit. I would make this place a LAST RESORT. Please, for the sake of your care and your pockets, go somewhere else.

I met with Greg Naberhaus this morning for my annual eye exam. He is phenomenal. He’s professional and respectful of his patients. Christina was wonderful too performing tests. David was awesome. A young gentleman tightened my glasses and was so helpful, I’m sorry I forget his name. Young and very positive. Checking in and checking out was a great experience too. I’ve gone to this office for years. They have state of the art testing and extremely clean office. It’s always a pleasure to go to Brevard Vision Care.

Imagine you live in a world where you know you have pronated feet, and you have some shoes you like to buy for this. They wear out, and you need new ones. But you need a script for the grade of pronation. You have to talk to a bunch of despondent secretaries who are rudely snickering about a previous patient, while ignoring you. The place opens at 8, you show up at 8:30 for an 8:30 appointment, and they don't call you back until after 9. They say you must subject your feet to a chemical bath that will make you unable to walk for most of the day. This chemical bath will allow them to check for a host of foot diseases that are unrelated to your pronation. They will NOT check the grade of your pronation, which they could easily do, or allow you to buy any new shoes, without temporarily crippling you. But hey, at least this is America and you can choose any foot doctor you want, right? I get that there are regulatory standards and you're afraid of being sued. Have some courage, set up a system where I can sign away liability around eye dilation, and let me get back to my desk job with a fresh script for glasses.
