Dr. Carolyn Busby…AMAZING. ❤️ Long story short. I can name all the doctors that tried to figure out what was exactly going on with my body years ago… All the tests that they were running on me and even got Asked if I had psychiatric issues which was a slap in the face that I was so dismissed and also Felt that it was an insult because I do suffer from depression and that’s also insulting the whole entire mental health I guess community. I kept getting eye infections, that’s when I met Dr. Busby. She was the only one that guided me into the proper doctor that I needed to see and lo and behold because of her, I was finally diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I will forever be grateful to her and her caring heart, her patience and even the staff that she has are absolutely wonderful. I mean, if you’re thinking of making an appointment here don’t think anymore…just do.

Dr. Carolyn and Jess are the absolute best!!! They are so very welcoming and take the time to explain anything you have a concern for and they don't rush you like other places!!! I am so lucky I found this place!!! I am definitely letting my family and friends know about them!!!

First time going to Busby family eye care and what a great experience I had. My wife and daughter also went and everyone was so amazing to them as well. The doctor was super friendly and took his time explaining everything. Same thing with my wife and daughter. There was hardly no wait time, just filled out paperwork and was seen right after. The office staff made me feel super comfortable and welcomed. They are very personable and kind. They definitely hired a great team. They even remembered my name when I came to pick up my glasses. Great eye doctor and staff. Highly recommend!!! Oh and the glass pricing isn’t bad either. Very fair.

Dr. Carolyn Busby gave me plenty of time as I was a new patient and needed help with both contacts and glasses. Her recommendations were more helpful than previous optometrists I have worked with and will save me money in the long run. They also have a good selection of affordable frames in their eyewear shop both in adult and kid sizes.

Dr. Busby is a very good doctor she is very thorough and goes over every exam and explains every exam done at her office I highly recommend her.

The staff was very professional and friendly. They carefully explained everything about my eye exam and helped me choose the right contact lenses.

Pay very close attention to what exams are done and how they are billed. They will not clearly tell you that certain exams are out of your usual preventative visits. You will be stuck with a large bill in collections thanks to the lack of communication.

I had a good eye exam here however the cost was astronomical and a total rip off to the public. I’ve been having eye exams since I was 12 and have never been charged over $800. Never going back, would have been less if I had gone to an ophthalmologist.

I have been a patient for several years and am always satisfied with the care I receive. I generally see Carolyn Busby but occasionally have seen Alan Busby. Both are thorough and professional. Most of my medical team are female because I find they show more care and compassion than many of their male counterparts. Several potentially serious issues have been diagnosed by Dr. Carolyn and she has referred me to specialists. That being said I have not required more care yet, just monitoring. I like her conservative approach as she makes sure anything suspect is further evaluated. I highly recommend this family practice.

Started with this office March of 2022 as I was looking for an eye doctor for my 6 year old. Doctor Busby was excellent the staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Decided to come back for my daughters yearly check up and my own. The office was clean, staff was incredible and the doctor answered all my questions about my daughter’s prescription. It is very difficult to find an optometrist who cares for pediatrics and one who really is deep involved in the care. Love this office and will continue to visit.

We had a scheduled follow up check up for our daughter in this clinic..receptionist ask if we recieved a msg for the follow up check the same person that make an appointment 3 months ago..she said that we dont have an appointment with them..she said sorry to us but did not even ask if we want another appointment date for our daughter..shes not really a good receptionist since day 1 of our check up not even helpful for the clients..we just ask for a copy of medical records of our daughter and plan to find other Optha.

My family had a very pleasant experience here. I was searching for a new eye doctor for my family. One that could see both adults and children. I was frustrated with my eye doc office and the service i received at the pediatric eye doc was horrible. So happy I found Dr Busby office. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The doctor was extremely thorough with my daughters exam. Answered all my questions and concerns and was very patient and knowledgeable. I didnt feel rushed, I didnt have a long wait time like most offices where you make an appt and wait for hours. The office was clean, spacious and not crowded. And i loved that it was a one stop shop because we were able to select glasses too. They had a great selection of frames to choose from. Even booking my appointment was easy. The staff was attentive and accommodating and gave my daughter a nice gift after her appointment. I would highly recommend. My husband and I will be returning for our eye exams.

Dr. Busby and their team provided an outstanding experience! Dr.Busby, that attended us, she was incredibly kind patient and thorough explaining every step of the testing and the evaluation of our eye muscles in a way that was easy to understand. Dr. Busby and staff are courteous, friendly and thorough - and outshine the big chain stores. The Doctor took time with my examination and we talked over all issues. Glasses may take a bit longer to get vs. the 1 hour place but the quality here is absolutely worth the wait. Highly recommended!

Update - your office NEVER tried to accommodate me! That is not accurate. Last year I was notified the day before or two days prior that you have to cancel on an emergency except it was because you were on vacation. When you canceled on me a few days ago again this year, the secretary said she was just made aware. When I scheduled the appointment 2 months in advance, I specifically asked about scheduling my daughter and myself in and I had explained what had happened last year. I also had stated that my daughter is in college out of state and her schedule is really busy. Your office never tried to accommodate me because it was clarified several times that my daughter was out of state and the only appointment this secretary try to accommodate me on was for the same week when my daughter was not available after I had made this clear. I had stated once again that my daughter is out of state in college and I picked a day that would work for her mainly. How awful that not only do you cancel last minute but also state inaccuracies how your office works. This is disgusting. Busby Eye Care in Bergenfield is AWFUL!! 2nd year in a row they cancelled last minute when it falls on SPRING BREAK. I even explained that my daughter has a tight schedule between being in college and out of state. This is NOT how you run a business. And telling me a few days before --- NOT ACCEPTABLE

I had the most wonderful experience at Busby Family Eye Care. I felt super comfortable and relaxed. I loved the attentive care I received from Dr. Carolyn Busby. I am so grateful to have found her as an eye doctor she genuinely cares and has such a great staff as well.
