Today the friendly staff sized my sunglasses purchased over a year ago and fixed another pair of glasses I thought were doomed. I’m very thankful for their wonderful customer service. Thank you so much!!!

I got new prescription lenses installed on my glasses without a hitch! I really appreciate them rushing my order as I had a wedding to DJ in a few days! Will be doing business there again.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have been coming to canyon lake optometry for well over 20 years, since I was a teenager actually, I recently brought my kids in and everything went well until my teenage son needed contacts. He’s never had contacts so I called to make an appointment. Before the initial appointment, I called to ask questions. What did the exam cost? Ballpark price for contacts, etc. NEVER once did the front office girl mention anything about a contact trail price. I understand there’s a contact trial but never was a price mentioned for that. I paid $154. $77 for the exam and $77 for the contact trial. If I wanted to get the contacts it would be an additional $200+ for a 3 months supply. Again, I didn’t mind paying for what my son needs for sports, but the prices were never broken down for me until I asked what the $154 was for. I felt like I was pushed to pay without an actual receipt and I was not okay with the trial so I canceled the trial and asked for a refund. They did not want to refund the exam because the exam was already done, so I understand that. I paid cash, so they didn’t want to refund me the cash right away, I still needed to wait a week for a refund check. When I asked for the prescription of the contacts that the dr noted down, they sent me his glasses prescription NOT the contacts prescription. When I told them I needed the contacts not the glasses prescription they said that because I canceled the trial, they also canceled the prescription. That does not make any sense to me because I still paid for the exam! I saw the dr write/type the prescription. Why can I not get the prescription? Not sure. If I wanted the glasses prescription, I would have waited for his insurance to cover the exam, not pay out of pocket. Super unprofessional and a SCAM! Do not waste your time and MONEY on this office, they obviously do not care about loyal patients. I will be taking my business elsewhere and all the patients I have referred over I will be also referring to someone else!

Very bad service. They made my glasses wrong and they took a long time. They also wanted to charge me for something they did wrong.

My glasses arrived quickly. One of the women in particular didn’t have a very welcoming attitude which was followed by rude looks when i needed to pick out my frame. this is the 2nd to 3rd time she’s done this:/ might bring my business elsewhere

Very bad experience! Ordered glasses, was told they would arrive in approx a week. After a week I called to see if they arrived, they hadn't. Called back a week later, still hadn't arrived. Noone called to provide an update. Went in a few weeks after that in person, still no glasses. Staff running around clueless with what's going on, unable to provide a status for the order. For the overpriced product there should be better service. Save time and money and go somewhere else.

I visited Canyon Lake Optometry for the first time. I was concerned about an issue with one of my eyes. The office staff was friendly and helpful and they were able to get me in right away to see Dr Holmstrom. He was kind, patient, professional and informative. The qualities I appreciate in an eye Dr. I will be returning to this office for my next eye exam.

Called today and luckily was able to be seen on the same day. Everyone was very helpful and attentive. The optometrist was amazing, thorough and very patient. Much 3 year old daughter was with me and we all know how that goes. She wanted to be very involved with the appointment. While picking my glasses in the other room one of the assistance brought out a treasure box for my daughter to play while I was able to look for some new glasses. Overall my experience with office and the service was amazing. I would definitely recommend.

I’m a retired USAF officer. I came to this clinic for the first time for an eye exam this week. Dr Holstrom and his staff are very professional people and I very highly recommend them to any one. Superb service!!

Hands down best optometrist I’ve ever been to quick fast and an easy process everyone is so nice! I had the pleasure to work with Carlos he is so awesome this place is definitely a keeper. The doctor was very helpful and open to any questions you have!

Went here for the first time and I was treated like a long time client, and I was only in for an eyeglasses adjustment. Everyone was so kind and considerate. They took their time and did not make me feel rushed or like I was bothering them, like some optometry places do. I will definitely be choosing here as my place for all my eye care needs!

I have been blessed to have had eye insurance growing up. I have been to the eye doctor every year for the past 30 years. Now having to take my eyes to a new doctor after having the same one for the past 15 years was defiantly scary for me. My first visit with Dr. Holmstrom was great. I had specific questions for him because I wear both contacts and glasses. He answered all my questions and was very easy to talk to. He also suggested a cheaper contact I could purchase from the same brand of contacts I wear! His staff is also very helpful and were nice to talk to. I will be returning next year! Got me an appointment very fast, took care of me fast when I was there, and had great service even while having Walmart prices (I checked) on the appointment and contacts.

Don't go here!!! I have been going here since my family moved to Murrieta in 2004 and after 2 yes, TWO! HIPPA violations I will never go back. The office staff sure knows what HIPPA is but they don't care. They will give out any (and I mean ANY) of your personal information to anyone that calls and knows your name! Then when I informed them about this HIPPA violation they say, "oh well we'll put a note in your file saying that we can only speak to you." Are you kidding me?! Dr. Holstrom makes it sound like he's doing me a favor... No it's YOUR JOB to protect MY personal information!!!! Didn't even get an apology. Don't waste your time, DO NOT GO HERE!! Be smarter than me!

They are awesome. The best Eye Doctor I have ever seen hands down.
