Caplan Eye Clinic is a total eye center in Greater New Orleans offering adult and pediatric eye care. It diagnoses and treats eye conditions, fits contact lenses, and performs medical eye examinations.
Founded in 1938 by Dr. Harry B. Caplan, the clinic has three locations. Dr. Chad Caplan was the first physician in the US to perform Valeda light therapy, and Dr. Daniel Caplan served as Principal Investigator in its FDA trial.

Dr. Dan Caplan and his associates (including retina specialists), as well as his office staff, have done an excellent job taking care of my eyes over the past 25 years. Having locations on both sides of the lake has been very helpful. He runs a very efficient office with the most up to date equipment and testing capability to best evaluate and follow ophthalmology conditions. He is very well trained and has a great "bedside manner" in dealing with patients. His office is also very helpful with keeping up on medication prescriptions. Having an excellent array of stylish eyeglasses available at both locations is also very helpful. Dr. Caplan gets top grades in my book!
