Founded in 1938 by Dr. Harry B. Caplan, the clinic has three locations. Dr. Chad Caplan was the first physician in the United States to perform Valeda light therapy, and Dr. Daniel Caplan served as Principal Investigator for its FDA clinical trial.

I have been a patient of Dr. Caplan for many years in the Mandeville office. The Drs. are very informative and knowledgeable when dealing with my vision. I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes by Dr. Sumich. I had great results and no longer need glasses or contacts. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend Caplan Eye Clinic to all my friends.
