I am typically not one to leave bad reviews but I have never been more disappointed with a service before. I paid a pretty hefty bill to be fitted for contacts only to leave with a trial pair that was “close” to my prescription and not receive a prescription for contacts. I was told that I should have a follow up appointment in 5 days. It has been almost a month and I haven’t heard anything. When I called today to just cancel the trial pair and get my money back there was nothing they could do to help. I would definitely avoid if possible!

I'll preface this by noting that, were I reviewing ONLY my perception of the doctors exam, it would be more favorable. I was not pleased with a number of factors. I won't go into minute details. Although I had an appointment, I waited 30 min. to be seen. I was quoted one price for the exam, the bill was more than double that amount. I wear a progressive lens, for contacts I was given (gratis, thank you) a sample of one prescription to try, and told if it didn't work for me, "just drop in and I'll give you the other, we'll see which works best for you." I live 2.5 hours drive away, in Baja, and visit once a month, in conjunction with a treatment a Moore's Cancer Centre. I cannot use the contacts I was given. I called numerous times, being told this transaction would require an appointment with the doctor, who is in on a limited schedule. Nine months after my appointment, I am told that "it's been too long, you'll have to schedule another eye exam." I am 69 years old, have worn glasses since I was 8 yrs old. My prescription has changed four times over that period. It's unnecessary. Particularly at $178. So, end result, because I am here two days at most every month, and the doctor has a very limited schedule here, I may have had a good eye exam, but I have zero to show for it... not being able to use the prescription for contact lenses that I was given. That does not bode well for a senior citizen on a limited income. The staff I interacted with, aside from the doctor, were curt, and unfriendly, clearly 'customer service' is not a priority here. The doctor is professional, but clearly not interested in accommodating, or resolving, my particular need. Bottom line, you can get (much) better elsewhere.

The experience getting our glasses was fine, but the quality of the lenses was surprisingly subpar. Typically, everything I get from Costco is excellent quality, but these lenses are already scratched on both pairs after only 6 months of use, the lenses are so scratched, they need to be replaced. We’ve been getting glasses for 10 years and this was our first (and last) time getting them from Costco. We’ve never had this issue with any other pairs. I took them back to the store. The rep said we he might be able to do a one-time exception to replace the lenses, but my boys would have to be without their glasses for an undetermined amount from of time. Obviously, that wouldn’t work. I would steer clear due to lack of quality. The slight money savings is not worth it.
