Walked in, saw a pair of glasses, paid, and went home. Quick and easy process. Got home to try on my new find and a lens was floating around in the case. My initial thought was, "Oh they put in a spare lens, that's unique." Then, I realized the pair was actually broken and I hadn't even touched the frame yet. I debated with myself about going all the way back across town right away to exchange after just walking in, yet decided to do it in case the product was sold out. Upon return I was immediately helped by Anthony who heard my situation and promptly switched them out...after we verified the new, intact frame. I felt relieved and grateful for his gentle demeanor. Thank you, Anthony, for your help, as well as your kindness with an annoying situation.

I had to write this review to offset the horrible ones because in my experiences, it’s been really great. I acknowledge that there’s always exceptions, but the optometrist that myself & my mother saw was AMAZING. She made sure to take extra time to get a gauge of our optical history & was extremely gentle & kind. I have a neurological disability that occasionally affects my eyesight & she helped me course correct to make sure my prescription was as even as possible (LensCrafters was WAY off). As far as getting frames & contacts, the line tends to be long as it’s the ONLY Costco in a city of almost a quarter of a million people. They have a great selection & try to get to you as quickly as possible. A lot of people are detached and forget what it’s like to work retail, so kindness and patience really affects your experience here. There’s so much going in the world with this pandemic, so keep grace in mind when you’re interacting with staff. As for reception, once again, BE GRACEFUL. Answering hundreds calls and staring at screens all day inputting information is not easy & can have an impact on their tone of voice when answering the phone. I’ve been going to this Costco for 24 years & while it’s busy, the staff are kind & want to help you as best they can. You may need to advocate for yourself when you take your ticket and they forget to bump up the numbers so it’s your turn, but that doesn’t take more than a gentle reminder to them.

2 parts The glasses and contact lenses section is amazing, friendly and helpful. Thumbs up. The “eye doctor” part is a nightmare. Cheap work, child play, unprofessional. I know it is busy. I know humans make mistakes. The receptionists are the ones who cannot be relied on, with confronting attitudes in addition. The eye doctor herself who examined me gave me 2.00 instead of 2.25 lenses It’s time to find better eye doctor and more reliable services somewhere else
