Costco optical in Clearwater has excellent customer service and prices! KB helped me from the time I got there through the purchase, explaining my options and benefits. Even though costco was out of network, my prescription glasses are still $100 cheaper than the eye doctors office that was in network with VSP and they had a good selection including the designer glasses I chose. Other reviewers said they waited long but I went on Saturday at 11am and they had 3 people working so no one waited long. Highly recommend!

They would not accept my insurance not a problem. My insurance company mailed them my reimbursement check. Unfortunately we moved 3 hours away and they refused to mail the check to us claiming it was illegal to do so. That is not true they just do not want to facilitate a customer. They have crummy reviews so it's obvious they don't care about that being with costco will bring them enough business.

I made an appointment for an eye exam. When I arrived and checked in, I only had to wait a few minutes. The technician gave me an initial exam. I then saw the optometrist Dr. Mason. The exam was the most thorough and best I have ever received. After I was finished, I went to the counter and Mackenzie helped with selecting my frames and ordering my glasses. She was extremely helpful and was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend Costco Optical at this location.
