I had a very strange experience, and I left not knowing whether I was near sited, or far sited, nor did I receive confirmation that I had astigmatism. I never confirmed that I could see 100% at any point in the exam before I was handed a prescription ( so I'm still not sure how an eye exam is supposed to go). As someone mentioned, I will echo: "the gentleman serving me was minimally polite. After picking up my glasses I could not see clearly." Also, I was not offered any help figuring out a PD (which you need to buy glasses), even though the exam scheduled was specifically an 'eyeglass' exam and not a contacts exam. In the end, my glasses prescription is OK but not great and I paid more than other places for the exam. The frames at Costco were not appealing, and as a female with a slightly-wider-than-average face I only had 'male' frames to choose from so I had to take my prescription elsewhere, knowing nothing about what I needed, aside from a piece of paper in my hand. Giving this place 2 stars because scheduling was easy, and prescription does the job (though it is not great).

Good experience Re: the vision doctor area. Melody at the check-in area is great, super helpful and patient. Dr. McKinney seemed to know his stuff - I did not need dilated or internal picture of eye as I see an Ophthalmologist for these types of testing. If a person just needs a general check up for corrective vision prescription and seeing an optician is your solution, then I strongly recommend this option. This was the fastest eye exam I've ever had in my 65 years of wearing glasses and having eye exams. Re: the Eyewear area - as the doctor and the eyewear areas are separate entities. Konrad was a great help, this being my first time to use Costco vision cener; he explained every facet of how the billing process goes and all the details of what is and is not included with my eyeglasses purchase. There is a really vast assortment of inexpensive, name branded frames from which to choose. Being a Costco member has this as a great inexpensive alternative to other chain Eyewear companies. Would definitely recommend.

I took my new prescription to COSTCO. I purchased the frame from COSTCO prior to getting the new prescription. The gentleman serving me was minimally polite. After picking up my glasses I could not see clearly. So, back to COSTCO Optical I traveled. Since I already owned glasses from the new prescription, I pointed that out to the optician. After the optician checked and measured the COSTCO lenses then examined and measured the lenses in the glasses I was wearing, she determined that measurements were off so she sent the glasses to be made with the measurements she took. When I picked up the glasses my vision appeared fine. When I arrived home and looked at my computer screen, the print was blurred. I am disappointed and regret using COSTCO optical. The glasses will be taken to the optical shop again but this time I will request a refund.
