My family & I have been going to this Costco for years for glasses. Our prescriptions have been consistently spot-on when other mom-and-pop opticians couldn't get our prescriptions right AND charged us 3x the price! Service has only been excellent and although the optician is a little rushed and uses images of diseased eyes as "scare tactics" to make sure you get your eyes checked every 6 months, he is extremely knowledgeable and helpful when asking questions. The glasses themselves have also been rock solid. Never had an issue with the lenses and the frames are well made and range from generic to Gucci for hundreds less than some other places. Orders usually come in in less than two weeks. The staff is always helpful, knowledgeable & passionate but not saccharine friendly (One member got visibly miffed when I cleaned my old pair of glasses with my shirt once... I shouldn't have done it, but I was surprised how flustered it made the employee. She then said "Please don't do that," requested to take my glasses, and wiped them down with an appropriate wet wipe. They really do care about glasses!) Interesting note: The optician is in Costco but is not run by Costco, therefore, you can get your eyes checked without a Costco membership! Purchasing glasses does require a membership.

At 62 years old I decided to try contact lenses because of the fogging from the masks. I went in I made an appointment and I saw a doctor There’s a sign that says an eyeglass appointment is $69 and a contact appointment is $99. When I was finish they told me that they would have to order trial contacts and they would let me know when they were in and they charged me $150. I didn’t complain I paid $150 I went home. I got a call at home that said they were sorry but I forgot to charge me another $25. Clearly I found this to be a little bogus and told her so. When I went in to check on my contacts I was apologized to and given a $50 refund. I thought that was fair of them but then I still didn’t have my trial contacts. At the end of two weeks I again contacted them and were told they were not in yet and there was nothing they could do about it. When three weeks were by I called them again and was told the same thing that there was nothing they could do about it. Finally I received a text message saying they were there and I went to pick them up. Now as I said I have never worn contacts before and they just handed them to me and said good luck. I was very confused I said I thought somebody was supposed to show me how to put them in but they said since I had a problem with the doctor I could put them in myself. I was in shock. Now I’m in the position of finding another eye doctor that will show me how to put them in and make sure that they are the correct contacts for me. I don’t know if I’m gonna have to get another exam and pay for it or what but basically Costco left me on my own
