I’ve been to so many eye doctors over the years and I can say that Dr. Valerie was the best. She explained what was happening with my eyes like no other doctor has in the past. She was thorough and helped me find a way to manage my astigmatism so that I can actually see! If I could give more stars I would.

I have been visiting Costco optical in San Marcos for about 15 years now and don't have a bad word to say about em. ALWAYS been treated professionally and promptly by Dr. Valerie's office and the optical staff. I don't know where the bad reviews are coming from. C'mon now. Just went the other day for new glasses and was told they arrive in 7 to 10 days. Last two times I bought glasses they arrived in 5 days. Trust me, check them out for yourself.

Absolutely the best eye Dr around. Yeah, no insurance, but I left with way better information as to the health of my eyes then my HMO could provide. And so, for this privilege, I paid 100 bucks more than my HMO would have charged, but I received way better care than I would have had. Photos of my optic nerves, confirming no macular degeneration was well worth the 25 bucks extra. Not an option at my HMO. Not to mention, Dr Val is the most sweet, darling and kind person I have ever met in my life. So, don't judge the service on if your insurance is accepted. Insurance companies are doing everything they can to avoid paying 😒
