I bought daily contact lenses from Costco for 9 months supply. I wore the first ones last Friday. I had a hard time getting them out of my eyes. The next Saturday, I tried to get help from my optometrist. He was closed. I went to Costco in Danville. They referred me to optometry in Costco Livermore. Dr Curt Nguyen took out one contact lens from my eye. He couldn't find the other one from the other eye. He spent with me about 5 mins max. He charged me $59. Even though his assistance told me that he might not charge me anything. After my 5 mins visit, Dr Nguyen told me he would give me a discount of $20 off, but in fact he charged me a full service. I wouldn't recommend Dr Curt Nguyen since he wasn't honest and over charged me for a very short visit who he didn't do that much.

Last time I went, I was first told on the phone by the receptionist that I would receive 2 prescriptions: one for transitional glasses and one for computer glasses. But when the doctor had me in his office, after he closed the office door from the people waiting in a long line, he said we were only going to do one prescription today, since it had only been one year since I had a prescription for transitionals and he wrote up the prescription for computer glasses. That will be the last time.

Dr. Nguyen and his staff stayed late to help me with a medical problem. I tried some new contacts and new contact solution (not prescribed by Dr. Nguyen.) The second day of wear, I experienced burning, tearing and extreme discomfort. I thought it would get better after I took the contacts out, but it didn't. Finally, I called Dr. Nguyen's office. He and his staff stayed late, waiting on me to arrive, and took care of the problem without hurry, though it was after hours. (BTW, it turned out it an allergic reaction to the contact lens solution.) Thank you, Dr. Nguyen!
