I thought the receptionists were cold and unfriendly. They never smiled and seemed more like robots than real people. Someone needs to let them know that a smile goes a long way in making a patient feel relaxed and welcome. Other than that, I have no issues.

This is an updated review after a follow up conversation. The technicians and assistants at this Desert Eye Associates location are overall great, educated, and kind people from a personal standpoint. However, in my opinion my main concern and reason for visiting was not adressed appropriately during my initial visit. Dr. Timothy Mara called after my initial review to further explain the situation and resolve any concerns that I may have. For this reason I have decided to update this review. Dr. Mara did explain the reasoning behind the decision making extensively and why he recommends such. I believe he deserves merit for adressing the situation. Nonetheless, I am still not completely satisfied with my initial visit. Even though the rating has been updated to compensate for Dr. Mara’s effort it still reflects my discontent with Dessert Eye Associates collectively. Apparently there was a misunderstanding involving my prioritization of my concerns and medical condition and what they believe was the priority. I am aware that misunderstandings occur and my situation might not reflect that of other patients. First impresions from initial visits have a big impact on patients.

Desert Eye Associates is always very helpful with me. I am handicap in a wheelchair and they move things out of their way to accommodate me and fit my chair; then adjust their machines to come to my level. Dr Felix is always friendly and helpful as well as the other people in the office. I’ve been going to them for quite a few years now. They are very professional and yet flexible. I would highly recommend them to people.
