So I have been going to Dominion eye care for a few years. Love the doctor there. But getting glasses have been hard. It's like they rush you, and when you take your glasses back to get help cause they aren't right fitting your face It's like they don't want to take care of you. Wasn't aware that the office moved, had a hard time finding the place. I asked the lady why they didn't send out letters to their patients and she said they did, but I hadn't received one. I kinda felt lost. Anyway I'm not going to go here anymore because I feel like they didn't do me right. Just my opinion.

After days of struggling to book in Newport News after a recent move. Dominion eye care was able to fit me in next day. I had previously been going to them for about 4 years now. After I moved I planned on changing doctors because of the distance but I ended up coming back because of the service and near appt date. If the service quality is this good and fast. I’ll probably keep making the drive for years to come. They also were able to get me in and out with glasses after I broke mine.

I went here maybe 4 years ago for contacts, exam, and glasses. I called today to see if they still accept my insurance. The receptionist that answered the phone was rude and dismissive. She advised she doesn't take my insurance when they actually do ( I called my insurance and the office back to confirm) and she wasn't helpful in booking an appointment or advising of what my benefits cover and I KNOW she's able to look it up. Her only job is to answer the phone, provide customer service, and book appointments but she isn't doing very well. Her customer service is terrible and they've lost a patient, because let's be honest, you ALWAYS pay SOMETHING out of pocket no matter what kind of vision insurance you have.
