Kevin, a longtime Daytonian, has run the shop since 2009 and believes high prices do not equal quality. His son Sean joined in 2023 after leaving a career as a fireman and paramedic.

I had the pleasure of visiting Downtown Dayton Optical recently, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Kevin. Not only is he incredibly friendly and welcoming, but his dedication to providing fantastic eyewear services truly stands out. The affordable glasses he offers are a real game-changer, making high-quality eyewear accessible to everyone. Great selection, and amazing prices! I got one pair of photochromatic and one set of sunglasses, both were progressive lens bifocals, and it was under $250 total. I've purchased sunglasses online in the past, but these fit better and look more expensive. Also, this didn't take any longer. If you want sunglasses, it will take 2 weeks to get them from almost any online store. Downtown Dayton Optical quoted me 10-14 days, and they were ready in 10 days! I couldn't be more pleased.

I’ve been a customer for over 10 plus years I am very sadden to post this review! I received terrible customer service, laughed at in my face and told sure we heighten the price on 1pair of Rx glasses it was a mistake 5 months ago! What? I paid less than $75 for 2pair. The new people are cheating customers! I will NEVER do business with them they have lost a loyal customer!
