So today my son had an appointment and the credit card machine was down for deductibles to be paid. No one wanted to provide a written receipt to prove that I was leaving my card information with them. No one wanted to take responsibility for or write even a note to verify my payment and my personal information being left in their hands. I did try to take a picture of the person who was going to take my information. She called the doctor and he then said that they would reschedule my appointment for when their card machine was back up. I did not want to reschedule because we were at his appointment time. I understand the card machine was down and that I may have went too far in taking a picture. However, who would take responsibility for my information being left or even running my card? I'm sure they would never go to a place of business and leave their card information with no proof or record of it. So why would they expect me to. This information could have been given at the beginning of appointment time. They could have made calls so that one could arrange another form of payment prior to coming in. I had no proof of anything. So needless to say now I have to find a new dentist. Not a problem because I am confident that there are many with MUCH better desk service and dentist. I am disappointed to say the least and I will also be posting on the BBB. It may not mean much but they just lost 6 patients from my household. Dr. G and his staff are disgusting and rude! Not to mention no one even called to update me from the last visit where my children had cleanings and because of the Covid-19, no one but the patient was able to go inside. I had to call to find out what was needed and what happened during their visit. Imagine a 5 yr old coming out trying to explain to you he has 2 cavities. I called back in, asked for information and then made next appointment. Ask would I be updated and the person who answered the phone stated that I would be. I haven't received that call yet. Then on today the young lady says she asked her office manager about giving a hand written receipt but when I asked for this same office manager she wasn't there. At that time a very nasty and rude assistant came in and tells me they are going to reschedule my sons appointment. Lastly, the doctor never even spoke to me about the steps he needed he would take to perform. He spoke to the hygienist and told her he would have to numb him. I then ask the hygienist how was he going to do it, with needle. She responds, "yes." More information and better bedside manner would have been appreciated. Inexperienced and lack of empathy. Inform your people, be kind. You have loved ones as well.

I've been seeing Dr. Gamotis for a several years now and I just wanted to leave this review to let everyone know how great he and the whole staff at Downtown Vision is. I'm older and when I first went to them my teeth were in pretty bad shape. I had several teeth filled and others pulled and eventually a full upper and partial lower dentures. At every step of the process, Dr. Gamotis fully explained the cost and arranged to schedule the work as I could afford to pay for it. Everyone was so very kind and helpful about everything and Dr. Gamotis was so careful about making sure I was comfortable and that the procedure wasn't painful. I would recommend this great Dentist highly to anyone.
