Dr. Jensen herself has been nothing short of wonderful. BUT her front desk staff appears to be incompetent and dishonest. I had an appointment at the secondary location that had always accepted my vision coverage for my children, due to a scheduling conflict, the office called me to reschedule, requesting I change to the GBMC location. I asked on the phone if my vision insurance would be accepted, and was assured that yes it would be. This was my first checking on this. We switched to accommodate the office, and moved the appointment to GBMC. When there, having the first appointment, a walk in and someone who checked in prior though had a later appointment were seen prior. We were on time. It ended up we were seen an hour after the appointment time due to this. During the check in I had asked a second time if my vision insurance was accepted, and I was assured that yes it was. Thus far I have been told twice that my insurance (that later to find out they take, but only for hospital employees) was accepted. My one child (we'll call Child 1), who has no vision issues, was seen first and was done quickly, my other child, (Child 2) who wears glasses, was seen second. A new complaint was mentioned by child 2, and added to the chart. There was no follow up for child 1 but the billing for child 1 was changed to indicate they were checking for something for which child 2 was diagnosed in this appointment. How can you check 1st for something you didn't know was an issue for child 2 until you've seen them? At checkout, I asked for the 3rd time, that "my vision insurance will be accepted, right?" to which I received the response that, "Yes, we are billing them." If vision insurance doesn't cover, then why even bill them? After a bill comes in the mail, everything was billed to Medical and not my vision plan, I call the office, and after multiple messages across billing, office, and trying to get in touch with Dr. Jensen herself, I had to walk in to get ANYONE to talk to me. As I walked in, I recounted what had happened, and was told " I don't know about billing." by the person at the front desk. The same one who had told me multiple times that it was covered. If you don't know about billing, then you can't offer that it is or is not covered by your office at point of service. I was lied to a 4th time when I was told, "I didn't say that, and no one in this office would say that, " when recounting the past. I have no issue with the medical billing for Child 2 as they have a medical condition apparently, that would have been billed as such at any practice and any location. Child 1 has had something added to his chart that didn't belong, and was charged in a fashion that shouldn't have . After speaking to the office manager, and Dr. Jensen, I have been told that there is nothing that will be done. As good a Ophthalmologist as Dr. Jensen seems to be, the front desk competence and the lack of integrity of the front office staff cannot be ignored.

Dr. Jensen is the absolute best eye doctor my children have ever had. My adolescent children, boy and girl, really like Dr. Jensen, and their visits. Dr. Jensen has a warm personality-always is able to connect with kids on their level (no matter age), and professional demeanor-she is an expert at what she does. I hope my kids are fortunate enough to have her as their eye doctor for as long as possible. She’s awesome!

Dr. Jensen and her team are the absolute BEST. I’m so glad I made the decision to switch ophthalmologists. Our experience has always been wonderful, they truly connect with my child and bring the best out in her. We went to another office in cross keys and saw a man who was so horrific to my then one year old and me that I always had extreme anxiety about taking my DD back, but after switching to Dr. Jensen my DD loves going to her visits!!! Not only are they very smart but they are above and beyond with their kindness!
