My mother is 88 and a longtime patient of Dr Aragon. Two years ago she moved to Lubbock but still returned to Dr Aragon for her check ups. On January 26 we went for our early morning appointment. After waiting almost 4 hours to see Dr Aragon we mentioned we felt letting the patient know their in-climate weather closing policy before the night before their appointment would be appreciated as Amarillo was forecasting snow and we were coming from Lubbock. Dr Aragon immediately became defensive. Closing the door and standing in front of it raising his voice, his hand and shaking his finger in my face stating it is his policy and if we have a problem with it to just deal with it! I advised him it wasn't professional to act in that manner to his patients. In his same tone he quickly advised he could do as he wanted as he owned the building.
As there are other good retina doctors in the Amarillo/Lubbock area we have a choice to go to Dr Aragon and wait a half a day in his waiting room to be treated with a lack of respect or not.
We choose NOT!!!

I believe he's great as his profession. However, the wait time for an office visit is ridiculous. Better take the whole day off from work.

Better have all day, if you are going to see him. The average wait time is 5 hours. TERRIBLE
