Dr. Bud Kurwa is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Chief Surgeon and Medical Director of Kurwa Eye Center. The practice provides routine eye exams, LASIK, cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and Conductive Keratoplasty for presbyopia. Dr. Kurwa has practiced in the Glendora, Duarte, and West Covina area since 1985.

Dr. Kurwa earned his medical degree from the University of Birmingham in 1975 and trained at St. Joseph's Hospital in Toronto and University Hospital in Jacksonville. He is a named inventor on U.S. Patent No. 6,592,541 for an ophthalmic surgical instrument.

Bud Kurwa is a good Doctor, but the girls at the front desk need improvement. This is the reason for the one star. I had an appointment with Dr. Kuwa at the Duarte location this past Friday. After waiting 2 hours I herd the girl at the front desk tell some he was still in surgery. I went to talk to her. She suggested to reschedule. I wish she would have said something to me earlier. I rescheduled for Glendora after my experience at the Duarte office. I get to the Glendora office and the girl said my insurance didn't work. I told her my insurance has not change and they excepted it before. I don't think she knew what she was doing. She tried to tell me coverage changes each month. At the Duarte office they had no problem with the insurance. After my 2 negative experience with the front desk I won't be going back. I waisted too much of my time already.
