Dr. Cary Tseng has been my long time optometrist. He is awesome, and has taken good care of me and my family members. He has given good counsel, and has steered me to the right contacts. Many years ago, with advanced technology, he was the one who told me that I needed to see a doctor for high blood pressure. It's amazing what you can discover with just an eye exam. I always recommend him to family, friends and people who are looking for a great optometrist.

I really enjoyed my eye exam experience today! The receptionist and doctor were quite friendly and professional. I have been overdue for a full examination for awhile and the results of the exam confirmed my suspicion that I (at age 75) am starting to show signs of cataracts, which I intend to take care of soon. Also, I got a glasses prescription that I trust will reduce the effects of astigmatism that I have long been aware of. I was also pleased to learn that my retinas are looking healthy. All good !

The worst experience I have ever had. I made an appointment in person, was told my eyeMed insurance is accepted here. Did the exam today but was told my insurance doesn’t cover this doctor, wasted more than two hours of my time! I am filing a complaint at Costco!

The receptionists are friendly and efficient. Dr Cary is great! Thoroughly explained and found a new prescription that works for me! I left with some new contact lenses and much better vision. Although cataract surgery was discussed, I will have to wait until I obtain medical insurance! Would surely recommend the Dr Cary and this facility!

Great experience at this optometrist office! The entire staff was incredibly efficient, polite, and professional from the moment I walked in. The check-in process was smooth, and everything ran right on time. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, making the whole visit very comfortable. Dr Tseng is always thorough, concerned and clear about the results of an eye exam. He's also kind and cheerful, and tries to reassure his patients by explaining about his procedures in plain language. He also has the support of an excellent, professional office staff. Have been here twice to get contact lens prescription. Today had a visit regarding some vision changes - was able to get an appointment on same day. Prices are reasonable. The doctors are professional and patient with my needs.

Dr Tseng is so thorough. He detected a serious eye condition in my husband and was able to direct us to a specialist that has helped my husband’s condition from getting worse. We’ve been going to them for a couple years. Twice have had issues - one serious and one not - that were identified and treatment plan established. They are thorough, wait time on arrival is low, staff is helpful, and it’s a good experience every time. They take insurance (we don’t have it) and it’s nice to have a place to go for annual exams and such. We drive from downtown LA - we’re that impressed.

Dr. Carey Tseng is the best! He has been our family optometrist for many years many years! He is very kind and an excellent optometrist. He is always very thorough and always very professional. Dr Cary Tseng is very professional and will take care of you. With decades of experience, he is very efficient, but will also take the time to answer questions if you have any. I'd recommend going to Costco to visit his office.

Dr. Cary Tseng is the best optometrist I’ve ever seen, hands down. He’s super attentive, knowledgeable, and provides you with extra care. Not dismissive at all like some of the other optometrists I’ve seen in the past. And he’s super friendly too! And he took time to answer all my questions and educate me on how my eyes work! And my vision is now better than ever with the new prescription he gave me!

Our family has visited the Costco Optical several times for eye check-ups, and we've generally had positive experiences. However, our most recent visit was a bit more complicated. One of my kids had to have a prescription recheck because her new glasses made her feel cross-eyed. We scheduled an appointment with a different doctor. During the exam, the doctor quickly identified that one of her eyes was stronger than the other and mentioned she had an astigmatism, suggesting she might need contacts. However, this was a bit confusing to me because I couldn’t remember if this had been pointed out in her original exam. When I asked if the doctor remembered examining her previously, he responded by saying, “I’m a man, and a woman had seen your child.” He also mentioned that he had more experience. This comment made me feel uncomfortable, especially since the recheck hadn’t even started yet. When I looked confused, he apologized and explained he didn’t want to start the exam with negative energy. Once the exam began, we got an updated prescription, which was different from the first one. After the appointment, we waited for the new glasses to be made. My child asked if she could choose different frames, but the staff member immediately told her she could not, and her tone wasn’t very friendly. I had visited Costco Optical several times before, and other staff members had always been friendly, so this interaction felt off. I mentioned that the last time we were there, the staff had told us we could exchange frames if they didn’t fit well. The employee responded that we’d need to return the next morning and speak to a manager about exchanging the frames. It was a frustrating end to an otherwise positive experience, and I would have appreciated having a manager on-site to handle frame exchanges instead of having to come back the next day. Despite this, we did eventually get the correct prescription. While this experience was disappointing, I still generally recommend Costco Optical based on my prior visits, which were much more positive. However, this one visit left me feeling conflicted. I would have rated it higher if the prescription had been accurate the first time, and if the staff had been more accommodating with frame changes.

I had a rewarding experience at Dr. Cary Tseng and Associates. I felt valued as a patient and was treated with respect by Dr. Katy Wang and staff that took care of me. After the eye exam, Dr. Katy W. explained the condition of my eyes and made pertinent recommendations. Her expertise and professionalism is a big plus. Three words that describe my experience are Caring, Considerate and Accomplished.

This was our first time at Dr Tseng's optometry clinic. It was a pleasant experience. Dr. Tang did my husband's acuity testing. He was kind and patient. He gave good advice regarding eye care.

I had to go there three times for incorrect prescription still currently having headaches and vision issues will never go there again.

Dr. Cary was kind and helpful, taking his time to explain what was needed and why. He also helped my daughter feel comfortable at her first optometry appointment.

The office is very clean, staff are welcoming and doctors are very good. Their recommendations are on point. We live far but we still go here because they are all good when it comes to their expertise and experiences.

It was my first appointment at Dr. Cary Tseng & Associates Optometry with Dr. Minh Tang. I highly recommend this clinic. The entire staff was very welcoming and efficient. Dr. Tang was fabulous - he took the time to explain every step of the way my eye problem. Their office is very convenient, it is inside the Alhambra Costco.
