My experience was very much the same as another. The exam cost for contract lenses is very misleading and absurdly more expensive than the “comprehensive” (eyeglasses) exam. Forced to pay an additional $150 for the contact exam+$35 for the digital imaging after my insurance paid $150 for the “comprehensive” exam. Definitely not comprehensive- (Comprehensive is defined in the dictionary as “complete; including all or nearly all elements or aspects of something”). When confronted with this I was told, “Well, you’re welcome to go anywhere else”. Didn’t seem to care. FYI-Americas best only charges $99 for a complete exam including the contact lens exam and fitting. I remember now why I stopped going here the last time. Annoyed and not wanting to waste my time going to have the same exam done again, I paid the fee. Other than the company policy and misleading pricing the staff was otherwise pleasant to me and the Dr (a fill in) was really good. The online form is very annoying and it would take less time to fill it out in person, inconvenient at best. If you go here, I prepare to be very annoyed and frustrated when leaving.

I have been a patient here for many years and everytime I visit I’m greeted by friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable employees. The store as well as the exam rooms are kept clean and organized. Arianna is wonderful, she provided friendly and exceptional service during my exam. Dr. Claffie is amazing! She was super thorough and friendly during my eye exam and listened to my concerns and she explained everything to me very well.
