10/22/21: Dr Chavez immediately said, "It's been just a little over 2 years since I last you. How are you?" That was special because I didn't even remember that she did my last eye exam 😁 Excellent, professional, inexpensive and the only Optometrist I'll see in this town. You'll have a bit of a wait for an appointment but it's worth it.

What a shame, The young lady that sits in front desk is great for running off customers. No one wants her bad attitude up front. She defects all issues back onto you. Basically if you're not paying out of pocket then they don't want your business. Obviously they aren't competent enough to bill insurance for payment. Even though they expect a insurance they decline service. My advice is RUN don't walk away from this optometrist because of the office employee. She intentionally spelled name wrong on prescription so that we would have trouble when they look up insurance during purchasing glasses. Took a minute to figure out why they couldn't locate coverage.

I was called day before appt to reschedule because Dr. Chavez had a family emergency, which was totally understandable. However, when I showed up to the rescheduled appointment a couple weeks later, I was told to reschedule again. I was waiting outside for them to reopen after their lunch. I saw Dr. Chavez enter the office humming to herself. She didn't acknowledge me. A couple minutes later a receptionist came out of the office and told me that unfortunately the Doctor was "fighting an eye infection, that she just can't shake." She told me to reschedule. I said, "again?" I also let her know I would've appreciated a call, maybe before their lunch, so that I didn't have to drive down, as I don't live close by. Not to mention, missing work for the appt. I was not rude, because I know the receptionist is just the messenger, but I was obviously not thrilled to hear the news. Overall, pretty unprofessional of the doctor. She knew how she felt before her lunch and could have easily called me. She also knew I was already there, maybe she could have tried to see one last patient. She looked fine... she was humming happily when she walked in. My family will be going elsewhere from now on.
