My wife and I went to Darwin Eye care for annual exams. He charged us 150 dollars for these exams, and then also charged our insurance company for the same service. I have called him twice to explain this double charge, but he has yet to return my calls. I feel I have been defrauded as our visits were covered by insurance. This is concerning as we are on a fixed income and 150 dollars is a lot of money to us. I reported him to the BBB and are waiting to see if he responds to them. At least explain how this double charging is justified. Ignoring me seems to show he has something to hide.

My major complaint is feeling defrauded by this practice. I ordered two pairs of contacts. My insurance covered two boxes of contacts or up to $125. My contacts cost $150 for two pairs. Not only did it take five weeks to get my contacts due to their failure to actually process my order, but when I picked up my contacts they only gave me one pair claiming I paid $150 for two boxes of contacts, not two pairs. At this point I'm pissed due to all the wasted time and money. This business charged me three times the amount the contacts actually cost. Beware of this place...The photos show where I bought the exact same contacts online for a fraction of the cost.

I want to thank Dr Darwin for treating my eye injury after business hours. On June 2, 2022 at 8:30PM I was just getting ready to quit working on a home project when I accidentally injured my left eye. My wife had Dr Darwin Eye Care calling card from a visit to his office last month. I was going to go to the emergency room at St Luke’s but my wife said that I would probably have to wait for a doctor and he would not be an Optometrist so she dialed Dr Darwin’s phone number and he answered it personally. We were both surprised. We told him what had happened and he told me not to rub my eye and to come to his office immediately and he would be there ASAP, this was pasted 8:30PM. When we got to his office he was just pulling into the driveway, he parked and hurried to unlock the door and rush us in. The lights went on and he had me in the exam room and chair within minutes of us arriving. He flushed my eye and removed a small metal fragment from my eye, then flushed my eye several times after. He then inspected my eye with a magnification machine and told me I was lucky that I did not rub my eye because it would have cut a bigger and deeper wound. He medicated my eye and gave me medicated eyedrops to put in the next day. I ask how much do I owe him, he said not to worry just go home and rest and the next time you come in you can take care of it. I was really stressed and he could see that. I am very, very happy that we came to Dr Darwin for treatment, he is the best!
