This was my first time as a patient at The Retina Group of Washington. I was a little nervous because I had to change doctors due to my insurance, and I had been with the last doctor for about 14yrs. As, a new patient, I was not sure how my eye disorder was going to be treated and received. The reason for my visit was an issue I had been experiencing with my left eye. I was seen by Dr. Huang and we discussed my underlying condition and the current discomfort I was experiencing. I received pretty much the same outline and treatment that my previous doctor had provided, so I felt a bit more confident about my visit with Dr. Huang. After a thorough examination and conversation, I was pleased to hear that there has not been any drastic changes in my condition and what I was experiencing can be resolved with OTC medication. Overall, I had a great experience.

I have been going to RGW for the last few years and I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Huang and the staff. They are nice, helpful, and always in a good mood. Thanks to the staff and to Dr. Huang for hiving me all the essential knowledge that I need.

Dr. Huang listens to my concerns, is kind and knowledgeable. I appreciate that he keeps me informed as to my condition's relation to the past exams and what to look for moving forward. I highly recommend him and his wonderful staff.

I know I’m in good hands when going for my appointments, and always come away knowing I’ve gotten a very thorough examination of my eyes. The staff is very courteous, and very professional in all that they do. I am so thankful for having such good care!

Quick and painless. Very friendly service! My only suggestion is to tone down the scents when you walk into the office. As an asthmatic, it gets hard to breathe.

Very well managed practice and Dr. Huang is aces in my view. He thoroughly reviewed with me my condition and laid out a plan to address the issues I'm having. The staff at were friendly and courteous.

I've been seeing Dr Huang for over a year maybe 2 yrs. Every time I've in everything runs nice and smooth. I've never had a long waiting time even in their busiest times. He's very professional yet listens to what you have to say. I'm very pleased with seeing him. The entire staff are extremely pleasant. I just saw Dr Huang yesterday. Everyone was great and I love that up until I had to check out. The lady in the first check out closest to the Dr office was so impatient and kept repeating the month and day for my next appt.I bet she said it 6 times right in a row. What the heck is that all about. I said give me a minute to get my phone out and she just kept repeating that. Talk about rude I wanted to shake her and tell her to shut up a second. She needs some patient service training. All the other people working was perfect never once heard anyone doing what she did.

Dr. Huang is really nice, and the entire RGW staff is so friendly! They really made sure that everyone wore masks and that all the equipment was wiped down after each patient was done. They have a lot of waiting areas too, which is great, and the Capitol Hill office is super close to the Eastern Market metro. I'd definitely recommend!

My first time at the office and was greeted with smiles upon entry. The atmosphere was pleasant, welcoming and very clean. The staff and Doctors were knowledgeable and courteous of my time and well being. I look forward to my next appointment in six (6) months.

Unfortunately, I had a very frustrating experience with this eye specialist office. After waiting 8 months for my appointment, I was extremely disappointed to be told just one week before my visit that they do not accept my insurance. This should have been verified at the time of booking, not after months of waiting. It shows a lack of professionalism and poor administrative management. Patients rely on accurate information when scheduling medical care, and this kind of mistake wastes both time and trust. Overall, the office does not handle insurance matters properly and does not respect patients’ time. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

Dr. Huang has been very kind and encouraging during these past 22 months, during the most frightening medical event of my life. I’m so grateful to have been under his care.
